Cranston has expressed a desire to participate. Which I guess would be odd.

Flashbacks, man. Breaking Bad had plenty of them.

As much as I loved Breaking Bad, and as much as I'm liking Better Call Saul, I've about had it with cinematic/televisual universes. I simply can't be bothered to remember all this shit. (I only got about three episodes into season five of Arrested Development before I tapped out.) And if I read another article by some hack TV critic extolling "long-form storytelling" as somehow giving TV an edge over the stand-alone feature film, I'm gonna blowup the offices of the Guardian newspaper.

Incidentally, my wife and I have been watching reruns of Murder, She Wrote on a Chinese website and we've been enjoying it quite a bit. Every episode is a stand-alone narrative. No callbacks. No season-spanning narrative arcs. Everything's wrapped up in forty minutes and I can go on with my life.
    Just because...
    Snakeskin (Daniel Hui, 2014) warm
    Cloverfield (Matt Reeves, 2008) mild
A Man of Integrity (Mohammad Rasoulof, 2017) mild

The last book I read was...
Narrative Comprehension and Film by Edward Branigan

Not together in the movie. They're producing a beverage together instead. That's what the announcement was for. Fans dissapointed.

THey are filming a movie though, aren't they? Would seem odd to not include them both in it.

Would it? I thought White was dying in the last season, there seemed some finality to it rather than an attempt to leave things open.
And this show seems better than to drag dead horses back for an encore. Better Call Saul managed the amazing feat of being linked to BB without ever really having too overt links to BB. It was its own thing. Although I don't remember the exact details of how season 5 of BB ended.

I'm guessing there would be some type of flashback with the two. Should've clarified.

Odenkirk talked about how he was surprised they were able to complete it without word getting out.

The release date is "allegedly" October 11. We will probably know for sure soon...

(If you googled that title, there is still a result to that Netflix page as cache, so there must be a film done or nearly ready now)

Haven't realized how protective I feel for Jesse's fate after what happens to him in Season 5 until this trailer...
