After watching that Spencer sketch, I was worried that it was so effective that the guy might commit suicide or something. I mean, don't get me wrong. Not a good guy and the world wouldn't miss his politics. But, boy, what Cohen is doing is like watching somebody handle highly unstable explosives.

Well, the guy did just step down. Who knows what happens when nobody in their right mind decides to hire him on.Quoting Spinal (view post)
All said and done, his way of catching a strangers' opinion certainly worked though! <That's what he was asked to do, right?>
In hindsight the question still remains, what the fuck was Spencer thinking at the time? Who in their right mind would go through with something like that? The audio alone is hysterical.
Exactly my thoughts. This isn't some hidden camera approach here, lol.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
It really is surreal. Like watching someone under hypnosis or something.

I thought the first episode was very hit and miss, but oh wow when it hits.. Just incredible. (Mostly the Morad character, again getting insane results with the Spencer segment.)
I noticed in the credits for Episode 1 that Nathan Fielder was credited as a "Creative Consultant" but that he's listed as a full-on Director for Episode 2. Can't wait to see him potentially more involved as this series goes. As a huge fan of Cohen's Ali G universe stuff, I'm absolutely sticking with this all the way, despite some reservations out of the gate.
Last 11 things I really enjoyed:

Bad Trip (Sakurai, 2020)
What's Up Doc? (Bogdanovich, 1972)
Diva (Beineix, 1981)
Delicatessen (Caro/Jeunet, 1991)
The Hunger (Scott, 1983)
Pineapple Express (Green, 2008)
Chungking Express (Wong, 1994)
