Are people being ironic about this looking great?

    Because this looks terrible.

    Probably?

It does look terrible. Like, unseemly in its badness.

I would be hesitant about it, but in Zemeckis' hands, nope, this looks awesome.

The actual story is that the hero was drunk enough to talk to those men in the bar about his interest in wearing women's pantyhose. They beat him up after learning of his low-level transvestitism. Will that be in the movie?

I'm hesitant because of Zemeckis and the trailer is too long but the story sounds interesting. *shrug*

I'm hesitant despite Zemeckis. Story is bonkers and the whole thing looks like a vehicle for the living dolls gimmick.

This looks like Oscar bait, faux-quirk garbage.

Old people and parents will watch it and think they’re seeing something so cool and original and indie.

    Read a book.
    Watch the documentary.

    Skip the Hollywood tripe.
Giving up in 2020. Who cares.
