Haven't seen Superbad.
I am impatient of all misery in others that is not mad. Thou should'st go mad, blacksmith; say, why dost thou not go mad? How can'st thou endure without being mad? Do the heavens yet hate thee, that thou can'st not go mad?

For reals? You no like Sideways? Or you really like Superbad?Quoting Boner M (view post)
You've pulled a boner. Plz fix.
Not a fan of Sideways, no. I feel Superbad is a more poignant variation on a similar theme.Quoting iosos (view post)
As for the second grouping, I could really go either way on both. Darjeeling is the recent film I'm most ambivalent about; I swing from 'meh' to 'great' depending on mood. Right now, I'm more in the 'meh' camp.

Man, Iwo Jima is, like, the "meh"est of the "meh"s. Ever. On the basis of pictorial interest alone, Darjeeling should triumph.Quoting Boner M (view post)
I dunno, Eastwood's earnest storytelling always strikes a chord with me, in spite of how clunky his films often are, this one included. Part of me realises how anonymously archetypal the characters in the film are, and yeah, the hyperbolically monochrome look was ill-advised, but altogether I was absorbed.Quoting iosos (view post)
I suppose Darjeeling is easily the more interesting film, though. Hmm, I'm almost swayed...

I was surprised at how much I liked Letters From Iwo Jima. It's interesting to see an American tell the story from the opposite perspective. I haven't seen it's brother.
I agree with Iosos...Letters From Iwo Jima was meh-city.
