I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

I considered this one too, but it'll either be an early September release that's taken in by festivals and is perceived by the public as a first taste of Awards Season™ to check out and make some okay money that way. Or it gets a sloppy release drowned out by that festival season coverage and anticipation for upcoming awards contenders and makes ~$10 mill. It also opens against The Predator, which doesn't have the best momentum going in to make it a big hit, but it'll still be heavily marketed and high-profile enough to beat it on opening weekend.

I hope it's good though! Very solid cast, Isaac co-produced, Annapurna is interestingly distributing it worldwide, it's shot by Javier Aguirresarobe, scored by Alexandre Desplat. But like many September releases: Who knows!
Last 11 things I really enjoyed:

    Speed Racer (Wachowski/Wachowski, 2008)
    Safe (Haynes, 1995)
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (Parker, 1999)
    Beastie Boys Story (Jonze, 2020)
    Bad Trip (Sakurai, 2020)
    What's Up Doc? (Bogdanovich, 1972)
    Diva (Beineix, 1981)
    Delicatessen (Caro/Jeunet, 1991)
    The Hunger (Scott, 1983)
    Pineapple Express (Green, 2008)
    Chungking Express (Wong, 1994)

Weitz movies typically do $40-$60 which is fantastic for a final round choice in my book.

True, but those were mostly early 2000s comedies, and then he made The Golden Compass and New Moon. None of the same type of audiences as this.

If this were American Pie 5 that he was coming back to do, maybe.. And even then the 4th only made $57 million domestically. (Did oddly fantastically overseas though.)

Looks like I'm not gonna have a single capper this time.

I'm curious how much, if at all, Mission Impossible was impacted by moviepass blocking it off.

Oh hey, The Sisters Brothers is finally releasing in town this week. With all of 2 showings per day.
