What's not to like about the new Yankees Stadium, Duke? I'm assuming Fenway is an automatic #1 for you?
After driving past Busch Stadium, I'm really excited to visit. The village that there is massive. Turner Field seemed pretty similar.
Fenway is depressing to me because I know I won't see a new stadium anytime soon (probably 50 years, current owners just spend $200 million on renovations). I'm spoiled when I go there because I refuse tositpay for any seat that are not field box (which means I'm shelling out $150-170 a seat). The obstructed views and ridiculously tiny seats make it a chore and a disruptive experience if you sit anywhere else (not including the Monster seats).
New Yankee Stadium is so bad. It's a stadium that literally segregates the extremely wealthy from everyone else. The rich literally get their own bathrooms and tunnels to avoid the rest of the crowd. It's like a slap in the face. It's also so much quieter than Old Yankee Stadium. I used to fear sitting there as a Red Sox fan, but now it's so much quieter.
Guess I didn't explore it enough, but I saw in upper-3rd base side. Good legroom for seats, nice view, and reasonable food prices. Loved how clean the stadium was, and the museum that went with it. A good experience for me.
Comiskey Park, I remember having the worst seats. Bad legroom, even at a young age, with seats that seemed to make it seem like you were watching ants from the outfield. I think they've made renovations since... Hopefully.
If I visit Boston, going to Fenway is partly the reason.
I was rooting for Travis Wood to throw a no-hitter today. He came so close. But hey a win's a win, and those are in short supply for the Cubs this season despite the club actually piecing together a winning streak last week.

Tony Gwynn died from cancer he maintains was caused by chewing tobacco. Don't chew tobacco.
Gwynn's 434 strikeouts in 10,232 plate appearance is one of the most insane things ever.
Sure why not?

Wow...very surprising. He was one of the greatest hitters who ever lived and he always seemed like a really nice guy.
He was such a nice guy that the writers were kind enough to pretend that he wasn't juicing just as bad as everyone else when they put him in the HOF.
Gwynn's best power numbers came in his late 30s and just happened to take place the same years McGwire, sosa, bonds, luiz Gonzalez et al all blew up in the late 90s.. Obviously there's no evidence other than in the numbers but it's pretty suspicious.

I just learned that he could go 0-for his next 1000 at-bats and still bat over .300.
WTF.
The Rays have the worst record in baseball. The worst.
Yey the Cubs aren't the suckiest team right now...oh God...
