Phils need to go 23-22 the rest of the way to get 100 wins. I think they can manage.

    Braves are 8.5 back....
Ah. I thought it was closer, especially after they been kicking the Marlins' ass recently.

Well Cashner is supposed to come back in September, but that isn't going to matter. If he's not fully healthy they shouldn't even really bother bringing him back, but I imagine that he'll be in the rotation next month.

Even if Zambrano decides not to retire, the Cubs need to cut ties with him NOW. They've tried everything to help him. He's just bad news.

What he did last night was embarassing.

I don't know what's gotten into Dan Uggla but it's sure as hell helped my fantasy team.

Yep. I'm tired of his bullshit, and I'm sure most of the team is too.

Good win by the Cubs tonight. I'm still hoping they can take the series from the Braves.

Jay Bruce is an annoying fantasy player. He'll do nothing for 2 months and then rip off 8 homeruns in a week. I'm hoping for some consistency if I end up keeping him.

Why start now when he's been this way for his entire career?

Hey Cubs, why the hell couldn't you start off winning this much when the season started? Or in May/June, when its important to get off to a really good start? This doesn't change the fact I want Hendry gone, but it sure is nice.

Well. That Delmon Young trade certainly paid immediate dividends.

At least Thome showed him up.

Yesterday though, the Rockies gave up the longest homerun in the Cardinals stadium.

    Pujols destroys it

Yes, yes he did. I'm not a Twins fan, but I'm glad he got to 600.

Wow, Jerome Williams made a start for the Angels last night. There's a name I haven't heard in years. Best of luck to the guy. He was supposed to be the future ace of San Francisco's rotation...back in 2003. Treat him well, soitgoes.

He has a solid chance of finishing the rest of the season in the rotation. Chatwood has sputtered, and Richards (their other minor league pitching prospect) got injured. I hope he does well (obviously).

In other, even better Angels news, they extended Weaver for 5 more years. So very happy he wanted to stay with the club, and not test free agency. The deal works great for both parties, Weaver still will have his free agency when he's 33, and the Angels get a premier pitcher through his peak years.

Words can't describe how happy I am that Jim Hendry is gone. The Cubs should probably just fire Quade too and start all over.

Saw my first Rockies win today... Against the Astros.

Tix were $8 for spots that are usually $25.

Alex White's debut. Rex Brothers' first save. Four HRs, all in my direction. A hell of a time.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

A really good ESPN article made a great point that the whole HR derby curse bit is bunk. I happen to agree with it. A-Gon btw has hit what, normally 30 some HRs in a season during his career? That means he's on pace to do what he, last time I checked, normally does.

No Red Sox fans should worry about their starting pitching. Lackey is awful, although I guess he's lowered his ERA a bit as of late, last night's ugly outing withstanding.

Shortened names are stupid and confusing.

AGon was Alex Gonzalez for years and now it's Adrian Gonzalez.
ARod is still Alex Rodriguez but apparently it's also Aaron Rodgers?

    I hate them.
