I really am surprised that Torre would want to manage a team run by McCourt.

I'm surprised he didn't take a year off. That's pretty standard. I thought for sure I'd see him in a booth or studio next season.

The fact that he's 67 led me to believe he wouldn't want to manage a new team. I'd have loved if he came back to the Angels as an announcer. He was one of the best announcers they've ever had.

    Interesting
He's not that old, 35, and he's proven to still be effective. If he does decide to retire there's going to be a lot of pressure on those young arms to produce for a full season. Then again, I'd imagine this will be a signal for Cashman to go all out for Santana.

I would expect no less than Cano, Cabrera, and Hughes for Santana.
    Sure why not?

I don't see them offering even close to that much unless Santana signs an extension prior to any trade and even then I would think Cano is pretty much untouchable as long as either Hughes or Joba is included.

Hughes or Joba / Ian Kennedy / Melky Cabrera

If the Yankees are smart, they'd try to offer up Wang instead of Hughes/Joba but the Twins probably wouldn't go for it.

So how about that Billy Hamilton? 4 stolen bases, 2 game winning runs (today's was in the 10th against the Dodgers), and 0 plate appearances.

The kid could be a stud if he can get himself on base (had a .300ish OBP this year at AAA).

It's really impressive to see someone steal a base against Yadier Molina when everyone watching knew he was going to steal. The dude is fast.

Reds are rolling right now and should be getting Cueto and Sean Marshall back soon. If their bats pick up I think they take the NL Central.

The Twins, on the other hand, are in the death throes of another wasted season. If they lose 105 games this year (a distinct possibility) that means they will have lost 300 games in 3 years. That's kind of incredible.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Yankees are probably happy about this. It frees over $20 million for them I think.

Tulo, Cargo, Arenado, Rosario, and Cuddyer are all out.

Rockies are going to lose 30 straight.

So with that, my favorite baseball stadiums that I've been to:

    1)Camden Yards - Baltimore Orioles
    2)Coors Field - Colorado Rockies
    3)Yankees Stadium - Yankees
    4)Turner Field - Atlanta Braves
5)Kauffman Stadium - Kansas City Royals
6)Comiskey Park - Chicago White Sox
    7)Skydome - Toronto Blue Jays
8)Milwaukee County Stadium - Milwaukee Brewers

I'll probably add Diamondbacks and Cardinals to that list sometime this year.

What's not to like about the new Yankees Stadium, Duke? I'm assuming Fenway is an automatic #1 for you?

After driving past Busch Stadium, I'm really excited to visit. The village that there is massive. Turner Field seemed pretty similar.

Bummed how it turned out, although the Royals deserved it sort of for decades of suffering. Oh well I'll just root for the Os.
