    Very happy. Maddux is my all time favorite player and I have always been a fan of Thomas and Glavine as well. Too bad about Biggio.

    Everyone fell except Biggio and Piazza. Next year is even more loaded, with Randy Johnson, Pedro Martinez, and John Smoltz among the candidates. Unless there's a dearth of candidates soon, some of these fringe guys have no shot of snagging late entry.

    Sad to see Barry miss out again. I want to be excited for three excellent choices but it's hard when there are so many deserving guys left on the ballot. I don't know if Edgar is ever going to make it in. What a tragedy that would be.

    Surprised to see A-Rod actually follow through and file suit. He has almost no chance of having the decision overturned and it means the arbitrator's decision is now a public exhibit. Plus he has to pay even more legal fees on top of his already considerable pile. I really don't see how this benefits him in any way but I guess he really doesn't want to lose that 25 million (not that I blame him).

    Dice-K helped the Red Sox win a World Series before his career went into the shitter. The Yankees still lack depth at shortstop and second base. I'll take the Rays and the Sox over them in the division.
