Well, yeah, that's bad but... not so bad in comparison. They were also kids.
I rang the guy's doorbell a few hours ago. He answered the door but told me it wasn't a good moment to talk and I should send him an e-mail (?).

Old enough to remember the details of the incident = old enough to know right from wrong, imo. Plus she recalled it with fondness as an adult--a time when she should obviously know better.

The entire Aziz thing has made me sad.
I don't know if anyone here follows wrestling at all but wrestler Enzo Amore was fired from the WWE just 24 hours after rape allegations hit for him. Going down the rabbit hole on that one is just filled with insanity. It's gross and it all makes sense why they fired him instantly.
He still had his belt, right? Have they said what they're gonna do with it?
Movie Theater DiaryQuoting Donald Glover
They stripped him of it and they'll do some sort of thing with it after the royal rumble. Probably a tournament of some sort. But on tv they haven't really said anything besides he's dropped the belt, usually when they fire someone they say, "we wish you luck with future endeavors" and that's missing too. It's just we've come to terms and enzo is gone basically. The big thing is enzo has known about this since november and apparently no one in the wwe knew until monday.
Yeah, I was just reading about it. He hid from his employer for three months that he was being investigated and interrogated by police. No wonder WWE dropped him so fast. They must've been fucking pissed when they found out.

Yep. He was a douchebag backstage too, so it was only a matter of time. Good riddance to him.Quoting Thirdmango (view post)

The stuff with my ex teacher just gets worse and worse. He really was a manipulative asshole. I just can't figure out how someone so intelligent can be so stupid and crass at the same time.
What's really saddening to me is that the magazine he co-founded is the only publication I buy on paper every fifteen days because I want to support them. Free press in Argentina is a joke - most of the media is owned by the same family. Barcelona is a comedy publication but what's great about it is that it's one of the few where you get to find out about certain news or read about news you already know from the other side of the political spectrum, which, you guessed it, is the "left" one.
I remember something 8 said about Miramax being a major movie studio brought down by one man's dick. That's shocking and all, but it's a factory of entertainment. It wasn't even at the vanguard anymore. If this guy's dick brings down an independent magazine that has been showing for 25 years (even if only a few people read it) what most newspapers and TV stations actively work to hide on a daily basis... well, I'd call that a tragedy.
It's getting hot in therre for Nelly.

Tarantino admitting he knew more than most. I don't care how good his films are, thats shitty. Also, wtf Quentin? Get a fucking stunt driver, dumbass. No reason for her to be in the car for that shot. But thats irrelevant to the bigger issue.
God damn it.
Welp, he's not making it to ten movies.

Any respect I had for him and his previous statement is gone. I'm shocked he fucked her over that badly. And for no good reason. WTF. What was all this shit years ago about them being collaborators and her being a "muse"?Quoting Skitch (view post)
What an asshole he is.
This totally recontextualizes Death Proof. That scene with the deranged Hollywood figure and a blonde woman in the stunt car. Wow.

Wow, that's just weirdly irresponsible. Specially since there was a stuntwoman, Zoe Bell, available at the shoot.
That article was written terribly.

Too many winking references to the Bride.Quoting megladon8 (view post)
That tidbit about him being the one to spit on her and choke her with a chain for filming Kill Bill scenes? Reminds me he did the same with Diana Kruger when she is choked by Hans Landa. That’s a gross and disturbing pattern of behavior to swap yourself into scenes of violence against women.
I think Tarantino being the king of references, he's copying it from Dario Argento who did the same thing in all of his movies.
But yeah, no doubt it's disturbing.
By the way, Thurman's Weinstein testimony is the first one where he's made to look frankly deranged rather than simply an asshole in a position of power.
That article is all over the place.
It reafirms that QT has been an asshole for some time.

Did we ever not think that Tarantino was an insufferable ass-hole? Wasn't that the whole point of his sketch from Four Rooms?

Eh no, not really. He's right below Scorsese in the most interesting US directors when he talks about his craft or other movies. And actors and other collaborators usually keep working with him for a long time. Of course none promoting a movie is going to call the director an asshole, but you can't find many people going out of their way to say it's a pleasure working with Bruce Willis, just to name an example of a person who's obviously insufferable.
Hmmmm. A new story about "Alamo Drafthouse's long history of minimizing sexual assault and harassment."
