Batman and Harley Quinn.
Sam Liu, 2017.
Synopsis: Batman and Nightwing partner up with a reformed Harley Quinn to stop Poison Ivy and a plant thing I don't know (wiki says he's "Floronic Man").
How does it look? Looks exactly like the animation from The New Adventures of Batman and Robin, which is good, except for one thing:
The hell was that?
What did I like?
- Fight scenes.
- Kevin Conroy. He's a good straight man.
- Harley was funny most of the time and sometimes downright adorable. The blonde girl from The Big Bang Theory was fine.
- The henchmen club in general. Best scene in the movie.
- Nightwing rejecting all the other superheroes around with hand gestures.
What didn't I like? Besides double buttcrack?
- The ending was quite a mess, I mean: []
- []
- Farts.
WTF? Ask Harley. Just... ask Harley.
Final thoughts: Kinda all over the place. At times going super violent and adult-ty, with skimpy girls and all and then Adam West-camp.
Bruce Timm can do better.
"Your forensic team is bad. This is catastrophic" These words rolling off Kevin Conroy's tongue made me realize how much I missed him.
This was funnier than most DC animated films. The bit between Batman and Harley in the bat mobile was funny. So was the Watchtower bit. The farts however, that's something I haven't seen in a DC movie. So were the Adam West "Bam" "Bleed" Screen captions.
The butt crack on top of butt crack didn't bother me. But the plot was kinda boring. The story could have used more characters.
I wasn't too excited by this trailer, but this was wonderful. Its a love letter to the animated series (with some real deep cut cameos), it retains a sense of playfulness akin to the Adam West era, and its very adult in several scenes. AND THEN, throw in a bunch of Swamp Thing, Fluronic Man, and being one with THE GREEN.
I dug the hell out of this flick. Still debating how I feel about the sex stuff and the jokes about it that follow, but overall this should not be missed by any fan of the animated series.
Will merge when I get home

Dammit I searched.
Seriously why is our search so broken?
What the flying fuck?
I mean, I laughed, a lot, actually, but Timm couldn't even take his movie plot seriously enough to give it an ending. That was weird. And it's also kind of sad that the only Timmverse appearance of Swamp Thing is just a punchline.
Also, Bruce Timm revealed that Harley Quinn is Jewish. Was that ever alluded to before?
I've put a lot more thought into this movie than it deserves and I realized there's a Curse of Batman.
Any creator whose vision redefines the character for any given generation eventually goes insane and becomes more fixated on his artistic tics to the point of self-parody.
