I live in America. It ain't that great. The notion that we're super free freedom is laughable. Name something you can do here that isn't taxed, regulated, or illegal. This isn't freedom.

Quite frankly I don't know how anyone can build a business without inherited financial support or risking going into massive debt.

I'm an American. And America is totally not the best country in the world. Quite frankly, it fucking sucks living here, it's a constant struggle, and if I had the financial means to do so, I'd leave in a fucking heartbeat.

Being an American has worked out pretty well for me. But if you're someone who has any empathy at all for the lives of people who are different than you, it's pretty nauseating.

Our life expectancy rate is falling.
Our infrastructure is crumbling.
Our democracy is being systematically dismantled by those in power (Penn. GOP will be impeaching state supreme court judges for fairly balancing districts).
Our electorate is willfully and exuberantly ignorant, and fell for the biggest con in US history.
Our nation has completely turned its back on science in favor of religious dogma.
We have more mass shootings, by an order of magnitude, than any other 1st world country/nation.
In April, the free and open internet is no longer protected.
We share the highest poverty rate of the developed world (with Israel).
There are states in our country so poor that they can't even keep their public schools open 5 days a week.

Not believing in the science of Global Warming, and dong what we can to protect the environment is a travesty on a world-wide scale. It is a catastrophic failure of humanity in the US, all because of religious dogma and financial greed, two things the US is best at.

We are on a fast track to the bottom. So glad I don't have kids, and I fear for my young nephews.
