I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

As I've nearly sworn off discussing politics on FB, I've really had to bite my tongue lately. Theres a been a meme circulating lately among the Trumpies that says (paraphrasing) "If you cross the border illegally in North Korea you get arrested, if you do it Afganistan you get shot in the head, if you do it here you get a job, schooling, healthcare!"

It ENRAGES me. I want to scream at the top of my lungs, "Yes! We aren't a country run by a maniacal dictator or a clusterfuck! We are compassionate! We should NOT try to be more like those countries!"

But I don't, because 9 times out of 10 its reposted by a little old lady thats a friend of my moms or some shit and I would probably kill her with that response.

The current GOP has entirely embraced the fascist/autocratic/authoritarian style of government.

    It's what they want.

Trump's military parade is the single scariest thing I've seen a US president do.

How much do you want to bet he wears some kind of military costume?

The different between FDR and DJT, was that FDR was tasked with rallying American support against Nazis, whereas DJT seems to support rallies of American nazis.

Duke, don't. You're gonna break Davis again and he just got himself back together after the last time you asked innocent-sounding political questions.

I just want to turn his brain into a pretzel.

The difference between JFK and DJT is that JFK had a fling with Marilyn Monroe and... okay, I'm gonna need to think about this one.

As a side, we could whatabout until the cows come home. The problem is, that doesn't excuse Trump's scary ass behavior, nor does it seek to. All it seeks is to distract.

Look at the motives. If you don't see differences, you are willfully ignorant.

Duke couldn't break me for anything in the world.

You and he are completely blind to the kind of man Trump is. That's really, really sad, and scary.

Military parades are dumb no matter the motive.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

Last time, he asked a single question and you got so worked up that you spammed the thread for ~2 pages.

You and he are completely blind to the kind of man Trump is. That's really, really sad, and scary.
Really? Shit, I was hoping we were the most oblivious you've ever seen in your entire life, by far, and that our worldview was the scariest one held by Match Cut posters, like, ever.

    Maybe we should try harder.

Again, I'm not sure why it's controversial for someone to use superlatives in regards to Trump or to see him as a threat above and beyond any leader we've had in this country up to this point. That seems like just a basic, factual statement.

Irish dealing in whataboutism is not the most Irish thing I have seen Irish do here. As for Duke, I feel he sometimes straddles the center right fence. Although I am not sure its a fence. Maybe a seesaw? Yeah, that.

His ambitions and nature frighten me, but Andrew Jackson, LBJ, and George W. Bush are some awfully tall trees in terms of needless casualties domestic and abroad. [I think, anyway. I don't know enough about presidential history to speak with real certainty on who the worst ones were.]

I do. Your list is missing Nixon. Btw, Trump is still missing starting a disasterous foreign war that kills tons of people from his list of mistakes.
