    Ethel & Ernest.
    Roger Mainwood, 2016.

Synopsis: The life of Ethel & Ernest Briggs, an English milkman and a housewife living the most normal life ever from the 1930's to the early 70's.

How does it look? Cozy. Mainwood and co capture the original graphic novel look and make it flow seamlessly. Lovely effort.

What about it? This... this is the most normal film ever. It works as a love letter from a guy to his parents, a celebration of the quiet dignity of a working class couple trying to just live and a window to the lives of the WWII generation. However, by the very nature of the film, it is quite episodic and, well... calm. Not many conflicts, no villains, most of the time them reading the newspaper or listening to the radio or watching TV while things happen. You know, normal life.

    Final thoughts: Cozy.
