This was alright, bordering on meh. If this were just any ol' generic "for hire" director, I might be a bit more lenient on it. But considering this is Ben Affleck, yeah, he's better than this. Very generically filmed, and I oftentimes found myself thinking that this could be a pretty stellar movie under better direction, so I don't really know what happened here to make this fall so flat. Kind of a shame, 'cause there's definitely signs of potential greatness all throughout. I kinda dug the story, I kinda dug the characters, the acting was fine. But that was just it, it was all fine. And, well, with Affleck at the helm, I'd just expect far better than that out of him by this point. It just felt like his heart wasn't quite in it all the way, and sadly, it shows.
