4 book steampunk themed sci-fi epic, which means we'll probably get 5 or 6 movies.
Jackson has apparently been writing it since 2009.
No release date has been set.

A trailer for this played before my Star Wars viewing last night. I guess it's not online yet.
Anyone else see it?
I wish. We got that Rock movie with the giant ape and giant wolf.

Yeah, it looked sorta interesting but really clunky and loud.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
It did. It looked rushed out the door. Hard to even tell what I was seeing.Quoting Dead & Messed Up (view post)

Looks wild. I can't even imagine how it plays out. It's just so strange.

Wow! Man they are selling this hard on PJs name.
Oof. Hard to tell what's going on, who we should care about and what the stakes are...
So we can have stuff like this but we still dont have a Bioshock movie.
C'mon Peter Jackson, get back to you horror roots, throw in this style of steampunk and make fucking Bioshock. It would have to be cheaper than this.
Waaaay too much stuff for a trailer. I feel like I've seen at least half of the movie.
I wish Peter Jackson had never been informed of the existence of CGI.
Two of these three statements no longer apply after watching new trailer.Quoting Wryan (view post)

New trailer- has some new mystery threat.
I liked that trailer much more than other stuff we've seen so far. Looks like a cool new universe and new sci-fi/fantasy property.

Agreed. Reminds me of Steam Boy.Quoting Wryan (view post)
Lavish and visually intricate, but it seems there's no storytelling spark to ignite the thing. Critics seem divided down the middle.

Ummm why isn't this in the trailer?
Colour me completely unsurprised that this is apparently junk.
Could tell from the first teaser.
