    For Your Consideration: Cutties 2016

Happy spring, my friends! This is getting going a little late this year as May was extremely busy and also I feel like we just wrapped last year's Cutties. The years are starting to fly.

I'll have this thread up for two weeks and then ballot voting will be between June 15-30th.

But we have a great batch of shows to consider! I was surprised when putting this together how many great new shows started in the last year. I have put together the list as best I can tell from memory but many hands make light work; let me know if you see a mistake.

Please consider and offer suggestions to add to the list. (This should not be a list of every show you watched this year; only ones where you would consider them for a category.)

In order to be considered, the season must have premiered between May 2, 2015 and May 1, 2016. For individual episode categories, the episode itself (not the season) must be in that premiere window.

This is also a good thread for suggestions on tweaks to categories, formats, etc. I feel like our long form / short form system worked well last year so I am planning on keeping it.

    A reminder of the categories:

Making a few changes as I find them: Lady Dynamite and Preacher will both be eligible next year.

Nice! I've been quietly keeping notes of stuff I'd want to nominate for a while now

But some shows that come to mind that are currently missing from your list: [
    ]

EDIT: Also if miniseries also doubles as "special" I would like to nominate 7 Days In Hell and A Very Murray Christmas as much as possible, please!
Last 11 things I really enjoyed:

    Speed Racer (Wachowski/Wachowski, 2008)
    Safe (Haynes, 1995)
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (Parker, 1999)
    Beastie Boys Story (Jonze, 2020)
    Bad Trip (Sakurai, 2020)
    What's Up Doc? (Bogdanovich, 1972)
    Diva (Beineix, 1981)
    Delicatessen (Caro/Jeunet, 1991)
    The Hunger (Scott, 1983)
    Pineapple Express (Green, 2008)
    Chungking Express (Wong, 1994)

Thanks! I have updated and made some corrections. This is why I need extra eyes: not only did I watch some of these, but a couple of them I totally loved (Master of None and Sense8, how could I have forgotten you?) Legends of Tomorrow is on the list, but listed under D.C.'s Legends of Tomorrow.

Also realized that Wayward Pines S2 will not be eligible until next year.

Ugh. I just remembered Flesh and Bone existed. Starz tried to convince us all it was a miniseries so that's where I put it but I could move it to long-form if we want to acknowledge it as a single-season show. I was so disappointed in that show, which could have been so good. The only reason I want it in the nominations is because the opening credits were great.

Well you might have to say bye to it if Chris gets his wish:

Also HOW did I not know The Chris Gethard Show officially posts full episodes on YouTube until now?! (AND make it available in Canada??!!) The bits I've seen over the years have been fantastic and I've always figured I had no way of watching it since I never saw it get posted on, ahem, less official outlets.

Oh well, there goes my summer. Thanks!
All the public service episodes are on there too, which are great, so there's over 200 hours of content to look forward to.

Reminder that I'd like the preliminary ballot to go up this Wednesday, so if you think we missed any shows let me know!

It looks like I'd be the lone respondent on this show, but long-form narrative:

Halt and Catch Fire, Season 2

It does pick up immeasurably, and the female leads step away from cliched roles to become far more dynamic.
    The Boat People - 9
The Power of the Dog - 7.5
The King of Pigs - 7
