Haven't seen Self/Less, it looks kinda meh, but I really like Tarsem so I hope it hits Netflix. That Free State of Jones looks good.

I mean, its reception will likely be a major factor, but sometimes old-fashioned, big movie star period epics just inexplicably connect, and I feel like it'll get enough of a push, especially with its new June release date:

Last 11 things I really enjoyed:

    Speed Racer (Wachowski/Wachowski, 2008)
    Safe (Haynes, 1995)

    Beastie Boys Story (Jonze, 2020)
    Bad Trip (Sakurai, 2020)
    What's Up Doc? (Bogdanovich, 1972)
    Diva (Beineix, 1981)
    Delicatessen (Caro/Jeunet, 1991)
    The Hunger (Scott, 1983)
    Pineapple Express (Green, 2008)

Todd Philips/ Jonah Hill action comedy seems a fairly strong proposition.

Yeah, I had Hardcore Henry pegged for a 9th round flyer. I'll be curious to see how that pans out.

I don't know where to put that thing. Could be a total bust or a serious sleeper hit.

Hoping for residual Deadpool-type audience, maybe.

Well, if it were a 6-person draft, it would be a late 7th-round pick. Nothing we picked last time after that made over $35 million. Seems like it has a decent shot to do at least that well.

I was going to go for it last round, but it seemed like it was a little too semi-serious.

Regardless of what it's actually like, I'm sure they'll play it up like 21 Jump Street / Hangover in the trailer.

Oh, they changed the stupid title of that movie. That's good.

Oh, it's called War Dogs now? I've only known it for years are Arms and the Dudes. Generic title wins out again!

I looked at Bridget Jones, but then checked how much the previous movies made and it seems like they are way bigger hits internationally than they are in the US.

Hmmm, you're right. I had the impression that they were 100+ million films.
