Pretty cool Duke. Polished.

Is it weird we don't know the title of this movie yet?
We'll probably find out very soon. The title "The Force Awakens" was announced in November the previous year. I bet we'll know before Rogue One comes out. Hell, possibly with a teaser attached to it.

I figure attached teaser makes total sense.Quoting number8 (view post)
I thought maybe we would get a Spider-man trailer at Star Wars. Or a full GotG 2 trailer.
GotG 2 already has one. So maybe Spidey?Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
Disney is purposely waiting for Rogue One to be released before they start marketing Episode VIII so people would not be confused.
Sure why not?
STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI (Rian Johnson) - 9
STRONGER (David Gordon Green) - 6
THE DISASTER ARTIST (James Franco) - 7
THE FLORIDA PROJECT (Sean Baker) - 9
LADY BIRD (Greta Gerwig) - 8

We got a GotG2 teaser, but not a full 2 minute trailer.Quoting Ezee E (view post)

I want this to happen so bad

Me too. They could revolutionize the publicity machine if they could pull it off. Show lots of tv spots with no actual footage. It could become the new thing, the less a trailer shows, the better it must be! kind of thing. Not that that would be completely successful outside of SW, but I'd take that over 3 minute trailers that ruin entire plots all day every day.
Wasn't sure which Star Wars thread to post this to, but this is great.

There we go.
Last 11 things I really enjoyed:
Speed Racer (Wachowski/Wachowski, 2008)
Safe (Haynes, 1995)
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (Parker, 1999)
Beastie Boys Story (Jonze, 2020)
Bad Trip (Sakurai, 2020)
What's Up Doc? (Bogdanovich, 1972)
Diva (Beineix, 1981)
Delicatessen (Caro/Jeunet, 1991)
The Hunger (Scott, 1983)
Pineapple Express (Green, 2008)
Chungking Express (Wong, 1994)
So Luke dies. The first spoiler in the title of a film ever.
Wow, guys, the font is red, do you think this one will be dark like Empire, what a game-changer, don't forget "Jedi" is plural, looking forward to Rian Johnson, hope this isn't a nostalgia wank like TFA, but wait I liked TFA.
There, got us covered for the next few posts.
Well the red font is most assuredly significant.
Well I hope Luke lives and Rey dies!

I wouldn't read too much into the meaning of the title. In the OT, it was said that all the Jedi had been wiped out by Vader, even tho, there was indeed two Jedi still alive (Yoda & Ben).
And as of the end of TFA, Luke is the last Jedi (as far as we know), and I doubt Rey will be a full-on Jedi until the final film in the latest trilogy. So, in other words, who knows.
Losing is like fertilizer: it stinks for a while, then you get used to it. (Tony, Hibbing)
Maybe there are gonna be no more Jedi because everyone will just be able to use the Force and it'll be just like the end of Shaolin Soccer.
You're all misreading it. The last Jedi doesn't mean the final Jedi. There's gonna be a scene like this:

Poor Kylo Ren, completely forgotten about.
I just found out the original RotJ logo was also red. Meh.
Guys, where did we have that discussion on The Force Awakens "hot potato" scene that D&MU coined? I can't find it in our 37 Star Wars threads.
Here ya go, Duke.
And I'm thinking of shortening the phrase down to "plot potato."
