I'm all over that.
I'm all over that.
Not as slaughtered in Cannes reception as The Last Face, but the latest Sean Penn to be yet another lowest point in main competition now has a trailer:
Midnight Run (1988) - 9
The Smiling Lieutenant (1931) - 8.5
The Adventures of Robinhood (1938) - 8
Sisters (1973) - 6.5
Shin Godzilla (2016) - 7.5
Pass.

Clerks 3 started filming today. Hate all ya want, but it puts a smile on my face today.
Don’t Look Up, Adam McKay’s new film, aired its teaser during the Olympics. The official one would probably come soon.

I, um... might be seeing this tomorrow. UmQuoting Peng (view post)
I thought it wasn't finished yet. I might be wrong though, or maybe you're getting to see a screen test/rough cut?Quoting Ezee E (view post)

This movie that I may or may not have seen...
I'm going to GUESS that if McKay is your thing, you'll like. If it's not, you probably won't.
I'm also going to GUESS that the movie is at its best when it's dealing with the main characters that are simply wanting to be heard.
I'm also going to GUESS that the other characters, while a bit cartoony, sometimes seem to know they're in a satire.
EXCEPT... I'm going to GUESS that Mark Rylance is a MVP. And probably not enough Kid Cudi.
Just GUESSING.
How was Jude Law? Sorry, J-Lo. Sorry, J-Law.

But I'm going to guess that she's best when she's going for the lolz.
Things that shouldn't exist:
That is truly some Grade-A 100% certified dogshit. Netflix loves to smear it all over their platform.
???
It seems more engineered than created, but otoh the gender flip is cute and I like that Rachel Leigh Cook plays the mom.
There's so many teen based romcoms on Netflix that I think the service has become the quasi-equivalent of MTV for zoomers --- something you watch with half an eye, right after school and before you parents get home.
Given the junk I sometimes watch, from lame horror to fringe cartoons, I can't really turn up my nose at too many projects obviously aimed outside my demo.
Matthew Lillard even came back for it? Wow.
He was the breakout in Scream. What did he ever do after that?
Wing Commander, bro!
"SLC Punk" and "Scooby Doo," but he also appeared on "Halt and Catch Fire" and the "Twin Peaks" reboot/sequel thing.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
Can't really bust on this guy, either. I'll always like him because of "Hackers" (1995), and he puts out nothing but good vibes on twitter, sorta in an Alex Winter vein.
For some reason I thought SLC Punk came out before Scream. Wish we saw more of him.Quoting Irish (view post)
I also really like Lillard.

Blomkamp is saying that Ridley Scott may be the reason he never got to do his Aliens sequel. He says Scott hated Chappie so much, he told Fox to keep Blomkamp away from Alien.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
Considering the state of most of the sequels, thats dumb.
Also, I like Chappie.
I'm okay with that. Keeping Blomkamp away from pretty much everything is fine by me.Quoting megladon8 (view post)
(I'm exaggerating because I've only seen District 9, which is one of the more overrated movies of the last...*checks IMDB*.... 12 years??
