I was going to say it looks better than the McG films.

Yeah I watched the original for the first time 5 years ago, and feel like there's no way for the remake to go but up (hopefully).Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
btw posters:
Midnight Run (1988) - 9
The Smiling Lieutenant (1931) - 8.5
The Adventures of Robinhood (1938) - 8
Sisters (1973) - 6.5
Shin Godzilla (2016) - 7.5
Okay, here's the thing. I didn't see the first one even though the trailer amused me. And I'm sure these are not great movies, but I kind of admire how committed they are to having really stupid fun with it all.
Also I didn't even realize they were filming another.
"How is education supposed to make me feel smarter? Besides, every time I learn something new, it pushes some old stuff out of my brain. Remember when I took that home wine-making course and forgot how to drive?"

I laughed quite a bit in the first (second) movie.
Holy good God that looks bad.
Don't these people know The Rock and Hart aren't actors? Character isn't where their strengths lie.
I can't believe they're selling this thing on the two of them doing a schtick for two hours.
I still have faith in Rian Johnson so hopefully this kinda cringey trailer is just the difficulty of making a trailer out of his Brothers Bloom-type comedies. (Will go youtube that one's trailer out of curiosity though)

Holy cast. Hell yeah.
I'll add a fuck yeah to that hell yeah.
I'm a total sucker for elaborate, silly, drawing room mysteries and this has some of my favorite performers in it.
Yeh I stopped watching that trailer half way through.
The premise is classic "WHO DUN IT?" which I love.

The "Bad Times at the El Royale" of the year. These typically start off strong and peter out. Hopefully that's not the case.
Craig is looking very old and tired.
And that accent he’s putting on is atrocious.
Seems Favreau's The lion King is really good, the FX an absolute bloody milestone.

From what? Social media reactions?
For what it's worth, I don't think there was an immediate love for Aladdin or some of the other live-action pieces. And saying the FX look great is obvious.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
New film from Robert Eggers, the director of The Witch. This one stars Willem Dafoe and Robert Pattison. In US theaters Oct 18.
ETA: Nice poster, too.

Doesn't reveal plot details, but I wish I didn't watch the trailer for some imagery I certainly wasn't expecting.
This may be my most anticipated for the winter season that isn't directed by Scorsese.
Sam Mendes' new film. Supposedly it's made to appear as if the story is told through one shot... we'll see if it's still that, and if it will work.

That would be technically impressive but also super boring.
Looks great from the trailer. Heard the one-shot approach too. I think Mendes is capable of making it happen.
Wow, that's a helluva video gamey premise. "Medal of Honor: The Movie" (but what if WWI instead of WWII!)
I had thought, at this point, the single take thing had run its course. Guess not. Still seems gimmicky.

Sure, "Trenches" instead of "Dunkirk." IMO, there hasn't been a good WWI movie in half a century.
Written by Shia LaBeouf, based on his relationship with his father, starring himself as the father. Love the opening clearly being Transformers. Noah Jupe also looks pretty great.

That crossout in the poster makes it look like "TheTortureAmazon Original Report" though lol.
