Odds that this never comes to fruition? Less than the possibility of it happening, right?Quoting transmogrifier (view post)

I love John Sayles.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
Matewan is a fucking masterpiece.
If this comes out, I'm there.

Is this really a spinoff from that one scene in Tusk?
Unfortunately, yes.
It looks horrible.

Well, it's his new universe. Almost the entire cast of Tusk is in this. He's currently shooting a monster moose movie that also has the same characters and setting.

Kevin Smith needs to be stopped...
In other news, I saw this poster, I know nothing about the movie, but I so want to see it.

Who funds this??? THEY need to be stopped.
As someone who once had a big Kevin Smith phase, I've never understood why there are people with positive feelings about MALLRATS.

Advice to everyone - do not watch that trailer if you would like to keep at least some of the story points from the film a secret. Gives away, way, way, way too much.

Trying to think back on the last film that can sell purely on the star power of its leads, at the height of their fame... Mr. and Mrs. Smith?
Midnight Run (1988) - 9
The Smiling Lieutenant (1931) - 8.5
The Adventures of Robinhood (1938) - 8
Sisters (1973) - 6.5
Shin Godzilla (2016) - 7.5

Thanks. Stopped at around 1:34, but I'm sure TV spots / billboard screens / online ads and every other possible thing will show all the footage from the remainder of the trailer over the next bunch of months.Quoting transmogrifier (view post)
Fixed. Spaihts is actual in a lot of the Blu-ray making-of stuff, and he's very open about how he was ousted from the process once Scott officially became director of the project and which ideas he was happy to see remain as well as those he wasn't a fan of taking their place.Quoting Dead & Messed Up (view post)
Also after years of reflection, Imitation Game definitely sucks too.

AVOIDING.
Yeah, just saw that trailer in the theater tonight, and man, I don't even know what they're thinking giving that much away. This is definitely in Batman v Superman territory of "we're just gonna go ahead and spell the whole entire movie out for ya in a 2 minute trailer". I mean, the movie looks interesting, but damn, I do like to go into these things at least a little blind from time to time. I really just don't understand this type of marketing at all. :\
