    Well ... Poltergeist as it is, wouldn't get a PG rating these days. Not even close. PG-13 at best. I'm not saying I want a remake to be rated R, but I also don't want it to be a "kid's horror movie." I didn't have much faith it would be worthwhile and Rockwell's comment (which could very well be inaccurate) just fed into that.
