I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

A remake of, of all fuckin things, Wrong Turn??? With the original screenwriter or something.

    Odd.
The lead actress in my short film actually has a role in this so I have interest. I'll be watching it for her.

Not Adam Wingard threatening to remake Face/Off. Have you no decency, sir? At long last, have you left no sense of decency?

I'm fine with that. The first movie does not hold up well.

I get the feeling that if Wingard does it, the faces will stay off. Blood will ooze from the wounds. We'll see seams. It'll be like Frankenstein vs Frankenstein or some shit.

Its a sequel, and I'm all for it. Perfect guy for the job.

Wait, what? What gives you that impression from Wingard?

He's made some great stuff. His only miss for me so far was Death Note.

    "Rick...it's a flamethrower."

I thought Death Note was sweet. His only miss for me was You're Next, and it wasn't really that big a miss, just not for me.

I thought both You're Next and The Guest were phenomenal.

The former gave us one of horror's all time greatest female badasses.

The Guest is badass. I rewatched it last year, I wondered if I would feel the same as first viewing. Yep, its awesome. I know I'm in minority on You're Next, I just didn't care about it.

That wasn't a complaint. More of a form of praise. I found parts of "You're Next" gleefully demented, and I liked "Death Note" for its outsized ambition and crazy energy.

Wingard is re-teaming with his old collaborator Simon Barrett for "Face/Off." They did "You're Next" and "The Guest" together, so I'm kinda curious to see what they'll come up with.

Apparently there was an update to the original story. So yes.

He is approaching the film as a sequel to the original hit film, as opposed to a remake as I had been told when I broke the story. But I believe the leads will be re-cast.

    That says they're being recast.

Which is probably for the best.

Yeeeoowwww. Glad it's coming to HBO Max. I don't know if I would've paid to see this in the theater.

I wouldn't say awful, but ... not good, either. I understand it's a video game movie, but ... meh.
