    New Nicolas Cage movie called Jiu Jitsu looks insanely terrible.

    Props for spelling it right, but...not a single person in the trailer is actually using Jiu Jitsu. So, like...what?

    Odds on the creature actually being friendly/misunderstood? Probably pretty high, but looks well-executed regardless.

    Not sure where and when this comes out given it seem to have been filmed in 2019 or earlier. But looks wonderful. Getting It Follows and The Crazies vibes.

    Yeah, it's been in the works for a while. It shot maybe two years ago and was supposed to come out in 2019 but apparently it was a big mess and they've been trying to salvage it since. Hard to know how much of a mess, Liman is prone to having "troubled" shoots and long post-production periods where he has to keep finding the movie. Usually the movie ends up being good so hard to know what to think about this one. (I haven't watched the trailer.)

    Chaos Walking looks like an interesting premise...Doug Liman does those kinds of scifi movies. Could work, might not, who knows.

    Vanguard looks like the most Jackie Chan movie in decades. Hell yes.

    It's pretty much a guarantee that Chaos Walking is horrible.

    The reshoots they had to do cost almost as much as the original production budget.

    When Liman turned in the first cut, the studio said it was so bad it was almost unwatchable.

    I think they brought in Alexandre Aja to work on most of the reshoots.

    So bad.
