    Editing a Song

Is there any way, with the software I have at my disposal (WMP, Winamp, and iTunes), I can take a song from my computer (say, a Radiohead song) and grab a 30 second clip from it and save it that way? If not, is there a free software out there that's lightweight and safe that would allow me to do so? What I'm trying to do is create my own ringtones for my phone, and I want to use certain parts of certain songs, but don't know how to do it without actually cutting that part out of the song and saving it as its own file.

Can anyone help me out with this?

Allow me to actually recommend Audacity, a free, powerful, yet easy-to-use audio editor. Editing sound files with this program is nearly as easy as editing text.

    I second this.

Worked brilliantly. My ringer is now the perfect section of "Debra" by Beck. Thanks!
