Mushaboom - Feist
Lots of James Blunt. I seem to require it to get over some stuff. "Shine on" and 'Carry you Home" are especially hard to sit through, but I can't help it.

Klaus Nomi - "Nomi Song"
And, god help me, I can't stop listening to it.

It's so weird hearing them reference my hometown. I'd say it was cool, but the fact that the song is about a Vietnam war criminal who owned a jewelry store here dampens that. :|

"Criticism can be monumentally creative, of course, at times highly artistic, highly personal. But it rarely relates to the work of art being assessed. It is an expression of the critic's own subjectivity." -Joyce Carol Oates, Journals
Tennessee Stud-Johnny Cash. I think I like his version better than Hawk Williams Jr.'s although both versions of the song rock. I think its interesting that this song is featured in the Jackie Brown soundtrack as its completely out of place amongst all of the 70s music and that one rap track featured.

We Looked Like Giants-Death Cab For Cutie. Depressingly powerful and beautiful song. While I like the last two albums from the band I think that some of the songs could have been cut from both, and that if you put the best of the two discs together you'd have a truly great album. Still I want to check out their earlier work. Any recommandations would be welcomed.

Branford Marsalis : Gymnopedie No 3
What a gorgeous song.
Um... am I to understand this is a jazz saxophone rendition of Erik Satie's Gymnopedies?Quoting bac0n (view post)
I need to hear this.
This is a song that could have easily been a hit if the record company didn't screw up its release as bad as they have. It's such a great rock song/single that if it were the first single and they actually gave it time to breathe and not made it the second one so long after and then moved on to Make It Wit Chu so fast, more people could have appreciated its awesomeness. It was released as the first single in the UK and actually made it into the #1 spot on the Rock charts and into the top 20 overall. Oh well, at least it's in Guitar Hero III.Quoting Ivan Drago (view post)
Flashing Lights (feat. Dwele) - Kanye West
Still my favourite off of Graduation and maybe my favourite song of the whole year. The production is absolutely flawless and in my opinion it has some of West's better lines from the album .
