Fiery Furnaces -- "Ex-Guru." I haven't listened to the entire new CD yet, but I like this.

I've forgotten the names of their albums and songs, but I use to listen to them all the time.

Does Love is Hell have Drive That Fast on it? That song is awesome.

Nope. That's on the next album, Strange Free World, which doesn't do much for me save for that song.

My favorite of theirs is The Death of Cool. You might know "On Tooting Broadway Station" and "4 Men" from that one (or maybe the songs, not the names).

Great song. Hopefully this is the track for him to finally hit it big and be recognized in the mainstream because as much as it's one of the best hip-hop songs of the year, it's easily one of the best pop ones there will be by year's end too.
Yep, definitely. I can't wait for his second album The Cool.

Faye Wong - (some song I don't know the title to, but was totally that song that played over those awesome red credits at the end of Chungking Express)

Y Control-Yeah Yeah Yeahs. The song is fun and playful, but the video for it is disturbing in a crazy "Lord of the Flies" sort of way. The band clearly has a twisted sense of humor.

Iron & Wine - "Boy With a Coin"

I think I like this album more than Our Endless Numbered Days.
Wishful thinking, perhaps; but that is just another possible definition of the featherless biped.

When I first listened to the album two years ago, this was actually one of my least favourite tracks. But more recently I've found myself going to listen to this every once in a while (maybe because my play-count for it is that much lower than some of the others). I still find X&Y to be a ridiculously re-playable album as it has so many amazing hooks in every song and more polished in its production than AROBTTH, but I'd still say Rush Of Blood is their best.
Yeah I agree that X&Y is their most polished work, and that ARoBTTH is their best work so far. I actually look forward to their next album, which will hopefully mark a different and interesting direction for the group.

Smile Like You Mean It-The Killers. I love this song. Its got the great techno vibe that made their first album good despite some of the tracks on it that were less than stellar. Plus the second half of the song about "Someone is calling my name from the back of the restaurant" and "Someone will drive her down the same streets that I did" really gets to me.

L'estasi Dell'oro (The Ecstasy Of Gold)-Ennio Morricone. Hands down my favorite piece from the man. Pure and utter bless, and is present for one of my favorite scenes in all of cinema. A scene that leads up to one of the greatest scenes in cinema.

I'm listening to a radio station I created on www.jango.com. You create your own radio stations by choosing some artists you like, and jango streams music from them, along with similar artists.

You musicheads should really check this site out. It's way cool!

I'm definately excited because no matter what they make, the album will definately be something I love. I even find most of their B-Sides to have endless replay value. The new album is also the first work they've done with Brian Eno so that should be interesting right there (well, he played the organ in White Shadows, but aside from that). Hopefully it still comes out next summer because recently there have been rumours of a delay and such.

Fantastic song, easily my favourite from Hot Fuss and almost makes up for stuff like "Everything Will Be Alright".

Right now though, the reason I came into the thread was to say I'm listening to "Ruby, Don't Take Your Love To Town" by them from their new Sawdust compilation album. It's pretty great for the type of CD it is even if some of the re-recordings of tracks I loved in the past like "Under The Gun" and "Move Away" aren't quite up to par with the original versions in my opinion. It also has "Leave The Bourbon On The Shelf" which completes the trilogy of the "Midnight Show" and "Jenny Was A Friend Of Mine" story.
Last 11 things I really enjoyed:

    Speed Racer (Wachowski/Wachowski, 2008)
    Safe (Haynes, 1995)
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (Parker, 1999)
    Beastie Boys Story (Jonze, 2020)
    Bad Trip (Sakurai, 2020)
    What's Up Doc? (Bogdanovich, 1972)
    Diva (Beineix, 1981)
    Delicatessen (Caro/Jeunet, 1991)
    The Hunger (Scott, 1983)
    Pineapple Express (Green, 2008)
    Chungking Express (Wong, 1994)
