I've been listening to a couple of short EPs today from this new netlabel:

Super minimal electronica, and really good. Subtle hints of glitch and dub, coupled with moody atmosphere and slight melodies.

    Nice.

The album is pretty solid. It's nothing super groundbreaking, but definitely good stuff... esp for fans of guitar gaze.

    The Red Shoes (Powell, 1948)
    Manhattan Murder Mystery (Allen, 1993)
    Spring Breakers (Korine, 2012)
    Sydney (Anderson, 1996)
El ángel exterminador (Luis Buñuel, 1963)

I've been listening to a lot of Can today. Here is how'd I'd rank the three albums I've been enjoying immensely:

    1. Ege Bamyasi
    2. Tago Mago
    3. Future Days

Not listening to this right now, but I thought it deserved a nod since listening to this while walking home from the bar Monday night and drunkenly conducting at the same time was awesome.

Love it. You heard Triptych yet? Epic, haunting stuff - some of the most unique ambient music I've heard in while.

I ordered it after streaming most of it online... Liberation Through Hearing (the 2nd part) was one of my favorite albums of last year, and the other two sound just as good on a cursory listen.

Some of you may remember my contribution to the Halloween edition of the Match Cut CD comp some time back (Halloween by the Method Actors). Be sure and check out a bit of Athens, GA musical history on this archival release:
