Knowing Soderbergh, I expect it to be mildly interesting for the retro-novelty, but half-baked and forgettable.

Well once more Hollywood goes out to mine another old TV show. I wonder if anyone will be interested in this or not, even with Soderbergh behind the camera, and Clooney in the lead.

I miss the old Soderbergh, who gave us movies like The Limey. I want that version to come back.

I miss the old, old Soderbergh, who gave us sex, lies & videotape and King of the Hill (which is to say, films that I could recall seeing fifteen minutes after they ended).

Ocean's Twelve is more accomplished than Out of Sight in every regard.

    Not even close.

The chemistry between Clooney and Lopez is absolutely magical.

I haven't seen it since high school economics class, but while I recall it being a skillful enough piece of Hollywood Oscar-bait (despite the racist elements), I don't think it's anything especially great or memorable. Likewise, Out of Sight is a competently made thriller (despite the racist elements), but nothing really extraordinary. (I prefer Jackie Brown.)

Yeah, it must have been a real acting challenge for two of the most attractive people on the planet to feign sexual interest in each other. I have nothing against a sexy, breezy thriller, but let's not go nuts. It's really no better or worse than something like Charade.

I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

Dude, it's just so half-baked. There are interesting things in it (Glenn Kenny is pure awesome in this movie), but then there's a lot of stuff that just goes nowhere. Like the boyfriend takes a trip to Vegas... and has a really nice time.

Absolutely 100% of what I know about this show is from a very uncomfortable scene in Mad Men.

    Rep.

I'm not ashamed to say that I find Out of Sight and Ocean's Eleven to be two of the most inherently watchable movies I've ever seen.

No matter how many times I've seen them, I never turn them off when they come on TV.

I guess this could be his type of material. Still don't see where the audience for this movie is. Especially considering that The A-Team movie didn't do too well at the box office, and that was also a film adaption of an old time TV action show.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

It's always interesting when a TV show's tone evolves and you see which one the movie version latches onto.
