    Over the Garden Wall

Anyone been watching this? It's Cartoon Network's first miniseries and is one of the best animated things I've seen in years. It's by an artist/writer of Adventure Time (Patrick McHale) and is reminiscent of Miyazaki and Merry Melodies. Beautiful animation, great voice cast (Elijah Wood, Melanie Lynskey, Christopher Lloyd), and funny. I'm four episodes in and all ten are up on the Cartoon Network website or can be purchased from amazon, etc.

This was what it was called!

I saw something about it ages ago, thought it looked and sounded really cool but forgot the name and hadn't heard about it since. I'll definitely check it all out.
Last 11 things I really enjoyed:

    Speed Racer (Wachowski/Wachowski, 2008)
    Safe (Haynes, 1995)
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (Parker, 1999)
    Beastie Boys Story (Jonze, 2020)
    Bad Trip (Sakurai, 2020)
    What's Up Doc? (Bogdanovich, 1972)
    Diva (Beineix, 1981)
    Delicatessen (Caro/Jeunet, 1991)
    The Hunger (Scott, 1983)
    Pineapple Express (Green, 2008)
    Chungking Express (Wong, 1994)

Fantastic voice work, art design, score, just 'bout everything.

I want to note that I love many of the songs, tho a few just don't work musically or lyrically, plus almost all of them are just snippets, really. I'd love a full version of "The Highwayman," for instance.

I watched it, loved it, then watched it again. Over The Garden Wall is a perfect fall show, and I'm glad they never bothered to make more than one mini-series season. That was enough. The soundtrack is fantastic, too.

Hulu is pulling the show, I'm trying to get a DVD copy of it but it's all sold out.
