    Best documentaries about film?

Looking for your rec on film criticism, history, cinema studies, production process etc.

Recently enjoyed Martin Scorsese's Personal Journey and Mark Cousins' Story of Film.

Any others I should check out?

You might've already seen this, as it was included in the box set DVD, but Stanley Kubrick: A Life in Pictures is both revealing and hilarious. The anecdote about Kubrick measuring how much milk a cat gets on the average lick is classic.

Maybe not what you're looking for but I found all the "making of" documentaries on the LOTR Extended Editions very enlightening on the production process.
