    Feed Me, (Insert City)!

    This is a thread where those travelling to a city ask for tasty meals from those who know a thing or two about that city's best cuisine.

    For myself, anticipating the next six months of travel, any recs for tasty restaurants in Indianapolis or Vancouver?

    Indianapolis
    Bluebeard; Fogo de Chao; Yats

    New Orleans
    Boucherie; Annunciation; Coquette; Lillette; August; Red Gravy Cafe (for breakfast);

    NYC

    Keens Steakhouse (for steak); Blind Tiger, Rattle ‘n Hum (craft beer); Pok Pok NY, Walter's (Brooklyn);
    db Bistro Moderne; La Birreria (rooftop of Eataly); Via Emilia; Resto; Raoul's;

    I Went to a Cloud 9 in Vancouver- I remember being satisfied by the steak and desert there. Oh and the view too.

    I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

    There's a Fogo de Chao in Indy. Easy on the salad bar.

    I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

    Headed to NYC in a few weeks, celebrating my Jeopardy win. I haven't been in a couple of decades, and my husband has never been.
    Any food recommendations would be great.

    I'm going for work and will have most of my meals planned for me while I'm with colleagues, but I may be able to grab a few meals on my own. I'd be interested in any place that's moderately priced (~$20 or less?) and that I could check out by myself. Not too picky on food, just looking for stuff that's specific to the locale.

    Thanks for the suggestions.

    Timing of this thread is perfect.

    Mostly Manhattan. We'll be staying in Times Square (like I said, hubby has never been), the area by the UN, and Brooklyn. I love some good German food, but I am trying to watch my weight. Maybe a good Munich-style beer hall?

    I've read good things about La Birreria.

    Thank you all for your suggestions.
