If toilet paper isn't involved in the costume making process, you've fucked something up.
My favourite is the Christopher Lee version.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
With one look I just realized how much trouble they avoided with Vosloo being bald. Her hair's luxurious as shit for an undead mummy. Unless they are going the same "reconstituting back to healthy state" route or something.
Also, it's just so impossibly fucking weird that Tom Cruise is in a mummy movie.

I like what I'm seeing.
Looks like the action of M:I with supernatural twists.
I'm intrigued.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
I forgot how wonderful Boutella is; hope they make full use of her.
The more down-to-earth action looks beefy, the shots of cities overrun by, well, I assume lots of fog, look considerably less appealing and interesting.
It's a weird trailer. Off-balance, I expected more old-fashioned and less modernized, but perhaps that's precisely what's gonna give this one an edge, like Meg also seems to be saying.
It's funny that Cruise is once again strapped to an airplane after Mission Impossible: Rogue Nation. I doubt he actually did this stunt for realz.

Looks like a kick ass action movie, I hope its also a good mummy movie. Very curious what Crowe's role is in this.

I....I dunno. That was all over the place. Are they going to reboot Wolfman to modern times as well and ignore the Benicio version? I'm not sure if I heard about something like that or whether I dreamed it.

Great, thanks. That's exactly the overview I was hoping for, and I missed your post at the top of this page ha. Thanks!

Not feeling this at all. Cruise is completely misplaced in a Horror movie, the female Mummy looks awful and the concept of a Universal Monsters series set in the XXIst century doesn't jive well with me.
Looks more like supernatural action in the vein of (survivable event) Dracula Untold and (nuke Hollywood from orbit) I Frankenstein.Quoting Grouchy (view post)
Depp as the Invisible Man ... that's the only one that interests me.

Dracula Untold was developed without knowledge of Uni's Monster Universe plans until the very end of production. Once the filmmakers learned, they hastily shot a modern-day coda. Uni never intended that film to be a launching pad.Quoting megladon8 (view post)
