    In a weird way, I'm thrilled about this movie. Can it be salvaged? What will be on-screen? Its stormy past hasn't necessarily made me a detractor of this. What's this going to be like?

    Yes. And with Howard behind the lens I expected this movie to look similar. But it looks closer to Rogue One.

    Believe the studio is with you. There was word that they were very concerned about his performance around the time Lord and Miller were fired. They hired an acting coach for him -- which is not altogether unusual -- but it's a rare measure when it happens deep into production, as it apparently did here.
