Yep. Couldn't believe that JJ Abrams, Rian Johnson, and The Last Jedi all trended. Apparently, there was a NY Times interview / profile thing where Abrams and Boyega shit on TLJ & that set it off.

"I know what's best for Star Wars!"

"No, I know what's best for Star Wars!"

*somewhere, far in the distance, a black man screams, "Rey!"*

Disney just dropped the most unnecessary final trailer for RoS. Don't watch it if you can.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

    Just watched Asoka confront Vader.

Top three Star Wars emotional battles ever.

Holy shit I got bored with SW:R shortly after the first season. Looked up this moment on YouTube. Maybe I should pick the show up again?

Both this and Clone Wars had stretches where not much happens, then blam, something insane incredible amazing. So far I'd say both are worth the price of admission.

I wouldn't really die on the hill of either show as a whole, but those moments, man...so good...

I know I've probably posted it here several times, but hot damn this scene from Clone Wars...

When you get Dis+, watch "Star Wars: Resistance."

Weirdest Star Wars cartoon I've seen because it has almost nothing to do with Star Wars. No Jedi, no Sith, no lightsabers. Nobody says shit about The Force. But: great cell shaded animation, cool setting, and Oscar Isaacs appears occasionally to voice Poe Dameron.

I had no idea the show existed but apparently it's been running on Disney's cable channels and is already into its second season.

    .

I hope that’s the opening sequence, or damn near.

wtf didn't realize...I'll be watching that as soon as done with this. Disney + is loaded, but its app needs work. Like Netflix, they seem to almost work to not advertise stuff that that should be at the top of the promotion.

Hey Disney +...I shouldn't have to click five times to get to my queue, and whatever I've been most recently watched should be the top of my list.

Hey Netflix...I already watched The Irishman, all the way through. I shouldn't be seeing a dozen pushes for it every damn time I visit your site.

These don't seem like complicated algorithms to program. If user "yes watched" #irishman, than "no ad" #irishman, "instead" "ad push" "might also like" #casino/goodfellas/somedumbganstershitewebollmade probably

Okay so I haven't coded since the DOS days, leave me alone

Weird man I have no memory of that thread!

PS: Dave Filoni, the dude behind "Resistance," is also the co-creator of "The Mandolorian." Of the two, I'd say "Resistance" is more interesting (it has actual storylines, recurring characters, and builds to a specific point by the end of its first season.)

I've lost interest in Mandolorian already. I haven't even watched the latest episode.

I have a morbid fascination with Mando.

Like, how did they spend that much money to produce a show this boring?

And the episodes are so short. I could imagine each being 60 minutes and adding SOME consistent arch around the premise of each episode. But there's nothing there. It's so flat and at the end of each episode I always feel unfulfilled.

I'm still digging it. I like how each episode apes a very specific something else (seven samurai, lone wolf and cub, the prisoner, etc.). But on the other hand, I'm not to be trusted with any reviews with things with lightsabers or batman.

What's the diff between the "Star Was Saga" and "Star Wars Anthology" threads? I can't remember based on title alone & all these SW threads are becoming confusing.

Anyway ... popped in to say some folks are watching RISE OF THE SKYWALKER like right now.

I expect Morris will be posting in 6-8 hours with early news of the good word.

Saga thread was for main entry “Episode” movies, and anthology was for spin-offs like Rogue One and Solo. Though I don’t think anyone really cares about such distinction for separate threads anymore.

I haven't heard that before but it makes total sense.

I also rewatched Solo again last night, and it continues to get better with every viewing. Especially considering it was cobbled together from two films by Ron Howard...wow. Its time I stop turning my nose up at his work, because damn is that an achievement.
Agreed. This movie is more enjoyable every time i watch it (which is like four times since theaters).

Why is Last Jedi nonsensical arguments filling my Twitter again?

That dialog, supportive or not, is the most annoying film-related argument in years.
Is it just me or is it seeming extremely performative when it comes to the supporters of this movie?

I would also agree with this. I just wish it didn't log so god damn ugly.

Yeah, I'd still rather see Solo thsn Rogue One ever again.

Also, I watched part of an episode of SW Resistance but then I realized I'm not six years old.

Speaking of Rogue One, my view of that one seems to be slightly declining with each watch. Its just so damn dour.

The thing that annoys me about some TLJ supporters elsewhere on the internet is their refusal to accept that there are genuine reasons from a filmmaking perspective to think the film is a bad one but instead they like to paint all TLJ critics as blinkered Star Wars nerds or anti-SJW snowflakes.

Aside from the shoehorned fan service ( He doesn't like you, I don't like you either guy) It does the most world building out of any new film, which is what I like the most about it.

It also feels big. There's some excellent shots including the cold open sans the text scroll.

Edwards has a good eye for big things.
