    Thank you Henry! For someone who's so passionate about giant monsters, Godzilla sure sucked.

    I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

    I really like it. I really wish this vs King Kong nonsense would go away though. I just want more Godzilla.

    I'm a big enough fan of Edwards movie that I think I'm happy with just the one. I'm excited to see what he does with other future projects.

    I'm fine with them cancelling the sequel altogether. Go out on a high note. Toho's back to making G-man movies anyway.

    Yeah, I have trouble imagining someone else with Edwards' awe-skill taking up the mantle, and now that I've had that kind of film, I can't go back to something more flip and small (not for this side-series, anyway).

    Edwards' Godzilla was fucking awesome. That's all I have to say. As long as we get new Godzilla films and I get Godzilla vs Kong again I'll be happy.

    I mean, as long as I feel confident suggesting/predicting things....

    I just say hire Shusuke Kaneko (director of the 90s Gamera Trilogy - top notch daikaiju cinema, and GMK, best Godzilla flick of the Millennium Series by far) and be done with it.

    The odds are better at winning the Powerball, but I definitely would be all for him.

    Shin Gojira (aka Godzilla Resurgence), the first Toho Godzilla film since Final Wars, is seeing a limited run in the US this week. I'm seeing it tonight with my daughter.

    I'll report back with my comments. I've been trying to avoid spoilers, but I have high hopes!

    He's referring to how Godzilla kills the final monster in the American one that came out a couple years ago.

    Yeah, one of the tropes of Godzilla films, is there's some sort of ridiculous over the top attack that Godzilla performs, either on his own, or with a little help from his friends. This goes back all the way to the original Godzilla film.

    Some classics include:

    1) The half mile levitating dropkick (Godzilla vs. Megalon)
    [
    ]

    2) Godzilla Stinger Splash (Godzilla vs. Megaguirus)
    [
    ]

    3) The French Kiss of Death
    [
    ]

    Sweet. Going to miss Edwards, but still can't wait.
