It's unfortunate that the film I imagined, based on what I'd read about it and seen from the trailer, was more interesting than this ultimately proves to be, but it remains an admirably bold experiment. The psychedelic freak-out sequence disappointed me, largely because I expected something more striking than a bunch of rudimentary tricks that anyone with halfway decent editing software could achieve; what immediately struck me as indelible is the tent scene, which I can't get out of my head.

I really did love this movie even though I have no idea what the fuck the ending meant. Kill List is better, however I place A Field In England above Sightseers and Down Terrace.
