    Digital Copies giveaway thread

    I sometimes get digital copies included in my blu-ray's I buy and I'd rather give them away here if anyone can use them instead of just letting them expire or selling them for a few bucks on ebay. Maybe other people have some to give away also and could use this thread for that. I much prefer that now most blu-ray's that come with digital copies just have a code now and you don't have to put a "digital copy disc" into your computer for you to access them.

    Sometimes I buy a blu used so I won't be able to guarantee it hasn't been redeemed. And also it would be helpful if you do redeem one if you could post that you did so I can edit my post and say it was redeemed.

    YOU RULE! I snagged the Game Of Thrones one. There are a couple others I would love to take too, but I won't be greedy...at least until everyone else has had a shot lol

    Vudu has been a godsend for me since becoming a father. Disposable income is less abundant, and I have generous friends who give me codes.

    I'm glad there's a thread dedicated to digital copies now. After I posted news on the World War Z sequel yesterday, I got the urge to watch the Unrated version I got on Blu-ray which came with a UV code. I wanted to watch the movie in bed, because my knees were sore from soccer yesterday so I wanted to ice them fully extended. So I put the Blu-ray in my PC and couldn't not get it to work with any video software I had. VLC, Windows Media Player, PowerDVD... Each one gave me an error or asked me to update and even after I updated the software, it still didn't work.


    SO I decided to stream it off the UV site, since, what else would I use it for? First of all the quality is in SD, so that kind of takes away from the point of watching it on Blu-ray. A small price to pay but whatever, I wanted to watch it. The streaming buffering is terrible. I have a fantastic internet connection and 4 or 5 times in the first act it would pause and rebuffer. I think they want you to download the whole movie to a portable tablet or phone instead of stream it but the option was there, and it was just a bad, bad experience. Don't think I'd ever use it again.

    Tried getting Titanic and Mary Poppins on a whim. They're taken. Likely from the many people that can see this outside of the thread. In the future for stuff like this maybe we should put this in the Maintenance thread since it can't be seen by people outside of match-cut.
