The Newsroom (Season 2)

Alright, it's time for me to come clean. I really like The Newsroom. I know a bunch of people really disliked the first season but this second season has been better. I don't know if that would get anyone to come back to it since you gotta be into the premise but I really like the characters they've created and hashed out.

I dutifully watched this season, in part thanks to my wife's adoration of Sorkin, and I agree it had gotten quite a bit better. But holy hell did that finale rival True Blood's in awfulness. I have no idea what happened over the last five or so minutes, but it was without a doubt the worst, most atrociously written and edited barrage of happy endings that it left me overwhelmed by a WTF reaction I didn't shake for at least 15 minutes.

Just truly, spectacularly and bizarrely bad. I guess I was a little late to the party, but I can officially check out on this show for future seasons, should it have them.
