Duke Nukem Forever is a pretty sweet N64 game.
I had fun with it.
I am too but my complaints are obvious. The load times are rediculous, scrap the platforming and the miniture sections...wouldve been way better. Lot of pros tho.

The Harrison Marathon - A Podcast About Harrison Ford
Unless the iOS games get far more complex, personally I have no interest. I also have zero interest in any iOS-product. So if things go in that direction, I will simply choose to not participate in the hobby. But again, for me this all just boils down to personal interest. The iOS-audience is huge, the games are super cheap to make, and they make a fucking ton of money, so of course developers are going to want a huge piece of that. And I don't blame them. Big titles are becoming more and more expensive to make and they are making smaller profits relative to costs and time on consoles. So while we might see another collapse of the big-time industry like we did post-Atari, we will have a vibrant indie community around to pick up the pieces and rebuild without a hiccup in the process.
GTA V pushed back to September. Sorry!

Exactly this. While Apple tries to keep their head above the water with iPhones and iPads.. they will drop the AppleTV and skyrocket right back where they were (if the product is accepted). I think people are more likely to buy small gadgets than really expensive TV sets. Whatever they're planning, it's gonna be big. And it's gonna be simple. And it's gonna do what the Wii did to the PS3 and Xbo... only it's gonna be aimed at all three of them.Quoting Lazlo (view post)

Is it weird that it still feels too soon, even though it's been 7 years?

Not at all. There's still lots of untapped power in the current gen systems. Games keep looking, sounding and playing better and better with the current tech.
I could have waited a couple more years, easily.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
Tis true. I have about 30 games sitting on the shelf untouched.
Not that it matters. It'll probably be $800 on launch and then magically drop down to $200 after 2 years, which is when I'll consider it.

I'm almost (almost!) as excited to get my hands on "Dead Space 3" as I was for "Halo 4".
The previous two entries gave me countless hours of fun, playing and re-playing the game on different difficulties, trying to collect all the suits and max abilities, and even achievement hunting (something I only do with games that REALLY get me).
This entry looks to be no different.
For now I'm still enjoying "Bulletstorm". I'm playing through on Very Hard difficulty and it's, well, not very hard. And you can really tell that this game was originally intended (and developed, I think?) as a 3rd person shooter - it controls almost identically to the "Gears of War" games (no jump, A is for run, heavily cover-based) but they did a fairly good job switching the perspective.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
I think people will be surprised. I'm guessing sub $500.Quoting number8 (view post)
Also, Capcom came out a few days ago and said there's a probability of a reboot of the Resident Evil franchise. Thank god.
The recent rumors suggest $400 price points. I believe it. "Five hundred and ninety-nine US dollars" became a running joke, after all.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)

I'm really not ready for new systems. I have so many games left to play on this gen. The new systems better blow my mind graphically, because this gen doesn't look a bit dated.
I'd say both Microsoft and Sony met their goals with this gen. Remember, their goals were very ambitious when we were still tinkering with the PS2 and xbox. When Sony first released that Killzone 2 trailer, and said thats where we want to be, that was a pretty big WOW statement at the time. With more powerful graphic cards today, we are able to see more going on on the screen at one time. This tech demo is a good example. Today, this would be a decent fully rendered cut scene. BUt if this real time in game graphics, like we see with the Gears of War trailers for example, then we are not going to see the huge leap we saw from the last two gens. We're going to have more way detailed games though.Quoting Skitch (view post)
