I bought it the day it was released and played for about 2 hours and have never touched it again. I could just barely finish the cell stage. I thought maybe I would like it, but I was dead wrong. Worst purchase I have made in years. I recently uninstalled it and gave it away to my little cousin.Quoting Amnesiac (view post)

It's great. The MegaTen games are incredibly good, unique, and dark,Quoting number8 (view post)
Persona 3 (about 5 hours in now) is positively brilliant.
EDIT Persona 3 (about 8 hours in now) is positively fucking brilliant.
Here is a full list of all the Amazon Black Friday gaming deals. There are some great deals on there (especially for the 360).
Fallout 3 was still $54.95 when I checked.
Yeah, it seems most of the deals on the new releases have already ended or are sold out or something.
Damn nerds, beating us other nerds out.Quoting Saya (view post)
I bought "BioShock" and "The Orange Box" for my brother.
Both $20.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
Man, games are a lot more expensive here in Belgium.
Dead Space and Fallout 3 would cost me 60 euros (75 dollars). That's why I usually buy games that have been out for a while already.
Just got me Rainbow Six Vegas 2 (still about 35 dollars) . I liked the first one, hopefully I'll enjoy this one as well.

If you have a credit card maybe you should look into Video Games Plus. I usually order my games there and it's a lot cheaper than buying it in the stores here in The Netherlands or other European country. My experience with this site has been nothing but fantastic. They have a great customer service and their delivery times are pretty fast. Usually it's about 1 or 1,5 week before I get the package. Sometimes the delivery time is just a couple of days. Just make sure the game is region free before you order it.
I heard that GameHubs is supposed to be a good site to order at as well, but I haven't tried it myself. You can pay only pay with paypal here though.
Just ordered "Mass Effect", "GTA IV" and a wireless black controller for my brother with that Amazon sale.
Came to $100.
Sweet.

Target had Dead Space for 30 bucks. I picked up NBA 2k9 for 39.
Thanks Saya, that site does look interesting.
(Had no idea you are from the Netherlands, btw)

Damn. Thats usually a helluva lot more. I no longer have disc 1. I believe it was in the playstation when I tossed it into the dumpster! If you ever see an online deal like that again, please contact me ASAP.Quoting Sycophant (view post)
Just got one of my X-mas presents early, since Dead Space was $30 at Target!

An Ingmar Bergman game would be a helluva game.Quoting Ivan Drago (view post)
Seriously. I was very close to dropping something like $50 on it. It's very bizarre to me that FF8 and FF9 are still in print but FF7 (which Square would make much more money on and would normalize the ridiculous prices) is out of print. Since I'm doing a lot of PSX and PS2 video game searches now, I'll let you know if I come across anything. A lot of people are selling the discs individually, too.Quoting Scar (view post)
DO WANT.Quoting Ezee E (view post)
Maybe it's because they're doing a remake!Quoting Sycophant (view post)
If someone wants to give me $50 I'll send them my copy of it. It wouldn't be worth it, though.

Of course Square will eventually do a remake. They'd be insane not to. It would've been really smart to debut it with the PS3, though now I suppose it'll have to wait till after FFXIII and probably FF Versus XIII, so it doesn't steal thunder.
I wouldn't be surprised to see a simultaneous DS remake as well.
Anyway, I've been thinking about what I'd like to see made (or for me to make) in a game. I've decided I want to figure out how to make a game feel like a Shunji Iwai movie without becoming a visual novel.
Also, I want more visual novels brought to the States.
