Is Far Cry 5 a western?! Perhaps an Urban western, but the promo movies do not hint at a traditional western in the least. The severed arm perfectly acquitted itself, because of the simplicity of its wishes and its total lack of doubt.
The Surge is pretty darn cool.
Any Souls fans should check it out. Combat is awesome (with focusing on attacking / ripping off body parts being a very neat addition to the formula), big interconnected world, and awesome gear and loot.

Still playing The Division. This is the most exhilarating game I have played in a looong time that involves shooting weapons.
