Losing is like fertilizer: it stinks for a while, then you get used to it. (Tony, Hibbing)
With the lifespan of games, I don't understand why developers need to create a game so massive.
This whole project reeks of Spore and who still plays or even remembers Spore?
Sure why not?
STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI (Rian Johnson) - 9
STRONGER (David Gordon Green) - 6
THE DISASTER ARTIST (James Franco) - 7
THE FLORIDA PROJECT (Sean Baker) - 9
LADY BIRD (Greta Gerwig) - 8

Just played through a game DD would love.

Get it on steam.
Since we're talking about game sizes (I know you guys don't care much since I'm still on last gen), I bet I'm nearly halfway through Borderlands 2, and I'm still shocked how big this world is. It just keeps getting bigger and bigger and bigger...
Boderlands 2 is a fantastic game. Top of the last 10 years.

So the creators of the recent (and surprisingly great) Sherlock Holmes games have developed an open world Cthulhu my this game.
Yes please. And please sir, can I have some more.

Sweet pic for that game. I'll be interested to hear more.
Oh shiiiiiiiiiiit.
Oh man, I have found such a charming little game. "The Deadly Tower of Monsters". It's a simplistic 2-1/2D action game, not particularly challenging, but if the set up and atmosphere appeal to you you're guaranteed some fun and laughs.
It's supposed to be a 50s Ed Wood-ish sci-fi movie. You alternate between the two stars (a man and a woman), killing monsters and climbing the titular tower.
It's full of ray guns, UFOs, and monsters that are made to look like stop motion and claymation effects. Also any flying monsters have visible strings making them float and flop around.
On top of all this, it has a Bastion-like voiceover. It's the film's director providing a commentary track for the game, and it's hilarious.
Like I said, the gameplay is nothing too exhilarating (it holds your interest at least), but the world, creatures and humour are top notch.
Tons of in-jokes and references for people who are fans of these old flicks.

PlayStation VR Priced at $399 USD, Scheduled for October Release
So is it like a completely separate new console? Or is it a piece of hardware that works with the PS4?

Needs to work with a PS4. And the price is really $460 because you need the Playstation Camera. But if you already have it, it's $399.Quoting megladon8 (view post)
Rumours abound sony's working on a more powerful PS4.5 which would be capable to handle 4K and more complex VR games.

Beat The Witness a few days ago with 432 puzzles solved. Now I'm just cruising around the island, finding all the hidden stuff. Bonanzas everywhere. This game's driving me crazy... but not TOO crazy. Addictively crazy.
Haven't cheated yet. There are only three puzzles that I solved at random, and still don't know how they work.
I'm level 29 on Borderlands 2, just when I think I'm reaching the edge of the game, it expands AGAIN. Unreal!
Multiple reports are saying Nintendo will stop making WiiUs by the end of the year and they are getting ready to unveil a new console at E3 this year.
It's code named the NX (hopefully not because NEXT) and I guess this move is due to Nintendo selling a 10th of the units they did with the Wii (which I called a fad.... and was right ).
