Losing is like fertilizer: it stinks for a while, then you get used to it. (Tony, Hibbing)

I was working on it, when the electric went out, and apparently corrupted my save file. I lost hours. Hence, it's on the backburner.
Damnit, "Condemned" is one scary game.
I keep thinking "OK, that was really creepy, that's probably all they have up their sleeve", something else happens to totally wig me out.
Going through the burnt remains of the basement library and constantly seeing little zombie-like creatures scurrying around in the shadows is unnerving as hell.
I was just thinking "man, I can't take much more of this" and was about to turn it off, then suddenly I got stuck behind a table (game flaw) and so I turned it off.
Also, my right thumb is sore as heck from playing "Geometry Wars" like a madman this evening.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."

Yeah I do, and even aside from its very dated visuals (it looks like an original X-Box game) the graphics are good enough for the game's stark setting.
I kind of wish that you weren't led by the hand as much with the detective stuff, but I hear this is fixed in the sequel, which I'm very eager to play
Thanks for the recommendation, Duke! I'm really enjoying this one.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
How amazing was that scene where the manikins are following you around? So damn scary.
Wait till you play Condemned 2!!!!
Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
Yeah the mannquin scenes were really creppy.
That whole level in the abandoned mall had me on the edge of my seat.
When you first enter, and walk by the escalator. You hear a *THUD* behind you, look back, and see a dead body has been thrown down with a note attached - "LEAVE".
Freaks me out just thinking about it right now.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
Ah i remember that. Well you gonna play the 2nd?
Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
Yep, once I'm done with this one.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
oh i just figured you were done. keep chuggin!
Nope.Quoting Dukefrukem (view post)
Why? Is the brunt library close to the end?
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
Nah there's still three more levels after the library.
Let me know when you're done. I want to talk about the ending!!
New Madworld trailer from the games convention in Leipzig.
It looks absolutely insane. :P
Also a new Resident Evil 5 trailer from Leipzig.
This must be one of the best looking console games to date. That rain scene looked incredible.
Yeah, I'm real close to getting Condemned. I played it for a bit at a friends house...I was sufficently creeped.

I'd never heard of this 'til now, but man, that looks awesome.
I'd buy a Wii to play that and "Metroid Prime 3".
I bet D would think this "Mad World" game looks awesome.
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"
"Rick...it's a flamethrower."
I had no idea that Sam Witwer is the voice and motion-capture/visual representation of the Secret Apprentice in "Star Wars: The Forse Unleashed".
I guess I just never really saw a picture of his face. I downloaded the trailer on my 360 last night and actually said out loud "holy crap, it's that guy from The Mist!"
He's got a very distinct look - almost cartoonish in the exaggeration of his features. And definitely suitable for an evil character.
I can't wait for this game.

Am into the abaondoned school now, in "Condemned".
Again, pretty damn creepy.

That's awesome, man.
I'm totally sucked into "Condemned" right now, so we're both absorbed in games.
I find the concept of "Too Human" really interesting - the whole high tech with Norse mythology mix is really cool.

The new Game Informer's cover story is that new Batman Asylum game. If they can deliver everything they say, and with Paul Dini's apparent heavy involvment I don't see too much reason to doubt, this is gonna be one great game. Or at least the best Batman game since Batman Returns on the Game Gear...and that's not bragging too much. I could probably track downt the article if anyone is interested...
