I'm sure I've posted my videos on these games in the past but this perfectly sums up the experience in a single video.Quoting Ezee E (view post)
hahaha holy shit
Who the FUCK recommended that?Quoting Skitch (view post)
“What we are dealing with here is a perfect engine, er... an eating machine. It's really a miracle of evolution. All this machine does is swim and eat and make little sharks and that's all.”
I was trying to make amusing segment on podcast and gave two cohosts list of stuff on my shelf I havent played. Told them to pick my next game to play. I havent heard anything about the game. They both instantly picked that one. Now that I replay it in my mind....maybe they were fucking with me. Either way I paid like 2$ for it so no major loss lol
What I meant to say was: What unplayed games do you have on your shelf, and let us give you a quality recommendation

Gears of Wars 3
Halo 4 (started havent finished)
KOTOR
Couple others on shelf, but those were options I gave them.
Believe me, I was surprised. And I will totally roast them if it's a shitshow.
Report: I have played Dead Island for 20-30 minutes.
Yeeeeeeah I'm good. I'm GOOOOOOOD. No thanks. On the trade stack that goes.
Gears of War 3 is up.

I slogged my way to the end of that fucking game. The final boss was hucking explosives from the top of a building. I wasted a pile of ammo rattling off some head shots on him. Come to find out, they meant nothing, and I had to walk another 100 yards to trigger the boss fight. That’s when my mild annoyance with the game turned to sheer hatred.Quoting Skitch (view post)

I’m enjoying the exploration in Dragon Age: Inquisition, but does the story / character work ever reach the quality of Mass effect?
I honestly don’t give a crap about anyone or anything going on.
Ok this is a bit of a letdown. I completed story mode of God of War, and thought I'd just go complete some remaining side quests. I saw in the main room where you select the realm you wanna travel to, that 3 were still unavailable: Asgard, Svartalheim and Vanaheim. I assumed I simply needed to find language ciphers to unlock these as well, but it seems they're really not available at all.
Here Director Cory Barlog sort of explains it (scroll down a bit)

Yeah, I found that very strange as well.
I spent the better part of the afternoon watching a pro streamer get his ass kicked playing a tactical, turn based RPG on the highest difficulty. The guy's understanding of the game's mechanics are so poor that in he's cc'd his own team twice in the middle of big fights. Every turn, he splits his team up and goes after separate targets instead of focus firing on a single enemy. He also complains about low his low damage, but then he doesn't allocate skill points when his characters level, totally gimping their output.
I go back and forth and between howling with laughter and shouting at the screen. Pretty entertaining overall, though. (But also: JFC)
Sounds like something Scar would get a kick out of.
Eh, would probably drive me nuts. Watching RDR2 clips are about the extent of what I watch when it comes to other people playing.
Should’ve saved a clip yesterday: On horseback, slowly making my way through Valentine. A bunch of players had been shooting each other for awhile, but everything had calmed down. Anyways, some jackass comes flying up on his horse and t-bones me, disabling my horse. As my character stood up, the other characters name was highlighted in red, identifying him as a threat. So I did what any rational human being would do. I blew his head off at point blank range with a shotgun, revived my horse, and rode out of town.

I feel like you would tear your hair out watching me play XCom.

”Don’t slash that Muton!”
”Oh great, a Sectapod, I need a beer.”
”Damnit, use your heavies with shredder ability first!”

I think you would probably just eject the disc from the system while I’m playing, and snap it in half.
I started skipping ahead on the let's plays.
There's a starter area that takes maaaaaybe 5-6 hours on your first playthrough. 3-4 if you've done it before and know where everything is. This dude literally spent 15 hours there, pushing through the game on backstab crits, auto attacks, and save scumming.
It's funny to watch him try the same strategy every time, fail miserably, and never learn from his mistakes, but yeah also frustrating. He has 1.2 million followers on twitch and 200k on YouTube.
He's made several references to playing X-Com and I can only image the clusterfuck of pain it would be to watch him play that one ...
After playing way too much RDR2 online, and now re watching Westworld Season 1, the similarities in behaviors are quite similar.

Definitely intentional. ANd I like that.Quoting Scar (view post)

Today I beat the Valkyrie Queen in God of War and I'm officially done with this game after I started in October 2018, but had to interrupt due to RDR2.
What a sensational feeling those Valkyrie battles have been. Sure, there's been frustration, it cost me one gamepad, but I saw that I was getting better and better at anticipating their attacks.
This was probably one of the most physically and mentally taxing game I have ever played.
Now on to Insomniac's Spider-Man. Super hyped to start something new.
