Internet outrage is ensuing. "If an actress did this, she'd be immediately labelled as crazy and never ever work again."

Sheesh. I mean, Sean Young killed her career and all she did was dress up like Catwoman (mostly).

Has their been anyone inside who has confirmed the Leto thing is accurate? On one hand I kinda get what he went for, on the other it's totally psychotic.

Also, had no idea so many people really, really hate Jared Leto. (Why?)

That he sends weird gifts? It's the people who received the gifts that made the claim. What's more inside?

Also, had no idea so many people really, really hate Jared Leto. (Why?)

Leto also has a track record of alleged sexual abuse that's been swept under the rug.

Apparently several women claim he seduced them at young ages (around 15).

Reports are conflicting so the legitimacy seems questionable, but there's certainly a lot of anger towards him because of the allegations.

I've never disliked Leto. On the contrary. Of course, he never sent me a letter with a used condom in it.

Recent audio interview with Richard Donner on the genesis of Superman (1978):

    http://www.kcrw.com/news-culture/sho...ry-of-superman

Filmmaker Richard Donner recounts his experience directing Superman, from the minute he first got the call (while he was sitting on the toilet hung over), to the casting of Christopher Reeve and working with Marlon Brando (who initially wanted his character to look like a donut and refused to memorize any lines). Donner also reflects on the current trend of superhero movies and why he thinks it may be time for audiences to "grow up."

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

We shouldn't be shocked at how bad these DC movies are. (the Extended Universe ones, not the animated ones)
I just looked up the DC slate... and it looks like this:

    Film | U.S. release date| Director(s)| Writer(s)

    The Flash |March 16,2018 |Seth Grahame-Smith| TBA
Aquaman July 27,2018 | James Wan | TBA
    Untitled DC Film | October 5, 2018 | TBA | TBA
    Shazam| April 5,2019 | TBA| Darren Lemke
Justice League Part Two| June 14, 2019| Zack Snyder| TBA
    Untitled DC Film| November 1, 2019| TBA| TBA
    Cyborg| April 3, 2020 |TBA| TBA
Green Lantern Corps June 19, 2020| TBA| TBA

You think maybe they'd hire some writers on these projects that spend a decent enough time polishing up the scripts. Marvel has had writers on their 2017, 2018, 2019 for years already.

And now Seth Grahame-Smith is out.

He already turned down Aquaman so unlikely he'd go for The Flash.

Yeah, I don't really want Jeff Nichols sucked into the blockbuster machine.

Yeah, I only suggested it given WB's distributed most of his movies. But I don't blame him for wanting to keep his creative integrity.

I'm actually pretty intrigued by the idea of an Affleck-helmed Batman movie. I think he's a wonderful writer and director. And reading reports that he agreed with WB to take a smaller cut if he had complete creative control (along with Geoff Johns) is also pretty cool.

However the DC movie universe as a whole just holds very little interest for me.

    As far as I'm concerned:

Comics and video games: DC > Marvel

Movies and TV : Marvel > DC
"All right, that's too hot. Anything we can do about that heat?"

    "Rick...it's a flamethrower."

    Very accurate.

It's kind of funny how Marvel hasn't hired a game developer to do something on the lines of the Arkham games. Imagine an open world Iron Man game voiced by RDJ? Or Spider-man? Or X-men where you get to play a bunch of characters?

    Love Monday Rumors:

I guess in the standalone Batman movie they may have appearances / references to every major Batman villain to further emphasis a widened / established DC Universe.

In an interesting twist, the project is not a Quinn solo movie. Rather, it would focus on several of DC’s female heroes and villains, with names such as Batgirl and Birds of Prey surfacing.

Reserving judgement on how good Suicide Squad will be. Outlook on DC right now is not so good.

I'm willing to bet it is gonna be essentially a Harley movie, though, with other heroes appearing in it in the same way Colossus was in Deadpool.
