How is it any different than Thor? Swipe Norse Gods for Greek ones and it requires the same suspension of disbelief.
Ah i dunno. Maybe because it sounds derivative of others. Just like Supergirl, who's actually Supes cousin and makes me wonder whether DC ever created a supergranny and supergramps. At which point have we seen enough of these silly lower-tier superheroes who all begin to resemble one another? Anyhow, i look forward to thrilling action scenes of the lass using her powerful tiara and shiny bracelet to do stuff others have done before.

    Somebody cheer him up.

When I heard there was someone else doing it, there was a moment where I just stopped and stared into nothing for half an hour. But I’m 40. The fact that I’m jealous of someone else playing Batman… I think I should have gotten over it by now.
    Quote Quoting Donald Glover
I was actually just reading about Matt Damon and he’s like, ‘There’s a culture of outrage.’ I’m like, ‘Well, they have a reason to be outraged.’ I think it’s a lot of dudes just being scared. They’re like, ‘What if I did something and I didn’t realize it?’ I’m like, ‘Deal with it.’

Well that's definitely an interesting cast.

Their number 1 choice for Amanda Waller is Oprah Winfrey.

Yeah that's a pretty crazy cast. I hope Viola Davis gets it.

Will Smith not playing the lead? Tom Hardy in a different continuity as a different villain? Ow, my brain.

    Interest piqued. But why Delevingne?

Jai Courtney is a fucking terrible actor. Other than that the cast is, at the very least, interesting. Perhaps I'm not remembering something obvious, but is this the first time Will Smith will ever play a villainous character?

Oprah for Waller is an enormous ROFLMAO.

Yeh Jai Courtney sucks from what I've seen in Die Hard and I, Frankenstein. We'll be seeing him in Terminator soon which makes me feel like he's another one of those actors that Hollywood really really wants to succeed. Like Ryan Reynolds.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Why? She's a very commanding presence. It's a good choice.

So is this in the same universe as BvS?
    Sure why not?

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI (Rian Johnson) - 9
STRONGER (David Gordon Green) - 6
THE DISASTER ARTIST (James Franco) - 7
THE FLORIDA PROJECT (Sean Baker) - 9
LADY BIRD (Greta Gerwig) - 8

He plays Satan in A Winter's Tale. I haven't seen it either.

    Oprah is a good actress.

Oh for sure! I just don't associate Oprah Winfrey with a comic book movie.

Jai Courtney seemed okay in Spartacus: Blood and Sand, but not very good in anything else.

Excellent. I was afraid they'd go the New 52 way and pick someone with the body of a model.

Ironically, the New 52 did that because of the Green Lantern movie.

Viola Davis is a great actress but I still would have preferred someone more fitting with the character like Oprah or Octavia Spencer.

Her character on How to Get Away with Murder is very Waller-ish.
