Let's not get too wild about how Marvel has had success. Iron Man 2 was being written as it was in production. It wasn't really until Whedon got on board that the stories happened to get a little more organized, and well done.

Henry Gale is right about the business perspective, as annoying as it is. Hopefully they can find someone to do Flash or Wonder Woman that can impress everyone.

Man of Steel was a huge success, so I don't see them changing tunes as far as story goes. Batman VS. Superman will be a lot more dialog-driven, I imagine.

I really only care about the casting of Batman.

Ghost Rider 2 is terse. Pithy next to Nolan's verboseness. Of course by virtue of length Nolan's films are gonna dig up more dirt. But Ghost Rider is about something as much as Begins is and certainly makes more sense than Rises. It's tight, has creative setpieces, yes - a Cage dialed to 11, and an economic sensibility that's way more attractive than the mounted presentations of all the other Marvel films.

It's also goofy, which I guess some people call stupid...

I'm all for goofy. We need more goofy superhero movies.

It's why I'm most looking forward to Guardians of the Galaxy. I hope they capitalize on the totally nutso, gonzo ideas. I want a superhero movie that's Jack Kirby put on film.

It wouldn't happen in a million years, but I want Rosario Dawson for Wonder Woman.

Ghost Rider 2 > practically all other comicbook films

    It's true.
    it's true, it's DAMN true.

Alexandra Daddario, Gina Carano, Gemma Arterton, Christina Hendricks (who I know is Refn's pick if he was given the helm)... I can float so many names as potentially acceptable choices for the Wonder Woman role because it's such an undefined character in the modern screen era. Lynda Carter still seems to be the visual reference template outside of animated works, but that's like saying Batman should have that Adam West-quality.

Whedon seemed to entertain Morena Baccarin and Cobie Smulders in the time he was involved, and Teresa Palmer was George Miller's choice for Justice League if I remember correctly. I don't quite see them as having the right sort of dominating physicality I personally view the character as having, but who knows what sort of direction they'll actually go with when/if we see it.
Last 11 things I really enjoyed:

    Speed Racer (Wachowski/Wachowski, 2008)
    Safe (Haynes, 1995)
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (Parker, 1999)
    Beastie Boys Story (Jonze, 2020)
    Bad Trip (Sakurai, 2020)
    What's Up Doc? (Bogdanovich, 1972)
    Diva (Beineix, 1981)
    Delicatessen (Caro/Jeunet, 1991)
    The Hunger (Scott, 1983)
    Pineapple Express (Green, 2008)
    Chungking Express (Wong, 1994)

Ghost Rider 2 is basically bad in different, more fun ways than the first one.

If you want to go the Zack Snyder route, go with Gina Carano. All look, but a horrible actress.

You know, it didn't even occur to me at first, but... Maybe this doesn't necessarily mean that Batman will be much more older and experienced than Superman. Maybe the sequel would just jump several years ahead into Superman's career, and this is just two experienced heroes meeting for the first time. Or maybe even not for the first time. There's a lot of ways they can take this premise.

Ghost Rider 2 has Neveldine and Taylor from Crank directing Nicolas Cage.

That sounds like a better combination than Goyer writing this.

I do not want Ryan Gosling as Batman.

Josh Brolin would be great, except for his enormous head. I think he'd look like a bobble-head in the cowl.

Kinda fitting that her and Cavill dated for a while.

I would definitely be fine with Brolin, especially in fitting that more rugged, aged description. A few more names floating around that I found intriguing are Richard Armitage (who seems to have a face made for the Batman mask's shape), Matthew Goode (who could definitely pull off the slightly creepy adversarial role similar to the nice job he did with Snyder in Watchmen), and Max Martini (who I've only really seen in Pacific Rim, but he seems much more of a wildcard because of his lack of recognition, which could be a direction they want just as much as a name actor).

Though, another point towards Hamm I'd forgotten about: Him and Snyder did do Sucker Punch together. Jus' sayin'.

That's such a cool idea that anyone else they cast is bound to disappoint.

Heh. So Legendary will not be producing this, and is backing Interstellar instead. Which brings the question of how much Nolan is going to be involved in the sequel, really. My guess is little to none.

I think he wants out of the super hero biz. To him, that was a way for the studios to back is own projects. Now that he has credibility, he'll just do what he wants. DC Needs to re-evaluate their upcoming projects big time.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

I don't know if he ever really wanted to be in it. I got the feeling that he genuinely thought making Batman Begins would be an interesting project, and then they just kept throwing money at him to make the two sequels. WB had to beg for him hard to even have a minor involvement in Man of Steel (mostly so they could use his name). It was pretty obvious that he thought Batman was an interesting character for him to do, but he has no interest in any other DC heroes.
