Well for the last year the fake, lazy title I've made up in my head was:

Man of Steel [or Superman]: Dawn of the Knight

So it's nice to see they waited this long to do announce something that resembles a half-hearted 15-second brainstorm I did.

But I realized that any "Dawn" wouldn't really make sense since they're already established. (They disagreed!) But really I just assumed all the promo material would just show the big S logo, and then when the subtitle came up, they'd have the bat wings come prominently into focus.

I guess the only slightly interesting thing about it is that it implies that Batman is central enough to have his name come first.
Last 11 things I really enjoyed:

    Speed Racer (Wachowski/Wachowski, 2008)
    Safe (Haynes, 1995)
South Park: Bigger, Longer & Uncut (Parker, 1999)
    Beastie Boys Story (Jonze, 2020)
    Bad Trip (Sakurai, 2020)
    What's Up Doc? (Bogdanovich, 1972)
    Diva (Beineix, 1981)
    Delicatessen (Caro/Jeunet, 1991)
    The Hunger (Scott, 1983)
    Pineapple Express (Green, 2008)
    Chungking Express (Wong, 1994)

I would have liked the title "Trinity" if it was focusing on Batman, Superman and Wonder Woman.
Goyer doesn't have a great track record with comic book trinities.

I work in grocery. I have not gotten sick. My fellow employees have not gotten sick. If the virus were even remotely as contagious as its being presented as, why haven’t entire store staffs who come into contact with hundreds of people per day, thousands per week, all falling ill in mass nationwide?

Can we, uh.....can we not just give Green Lantern to Nathan Fillion? Would that be so crazy? Unless they want to go with Stewart, who I'd be fine with. Maybe with someone like Taye Diggs or Michael Jai White.

Nathan Fillion would have done better in the Marvel Universe. I so wish he was Star-Lord.

What is this? I was just saying I think he'd be great for GL live action.

Yeah, much as I love Fillion, he's looking a bit old and... soft. He seems more suited for something like Castle at this point (though, better, obviously) than action films.

I don't watch Castle regularly but every time I see a preview or a still on Hulu it always takes me a moment that the, uh, pudgy guy with all the wrinkles is Fillion.

WB is in a mad rush to catch up.

Let's hope they don't end up losing $400+ million on Shazam and Sandman due to...y'know...no-one knowing who they are.

I think the only reason they're fast-tracking Shazam is because they've already got The Rock to be Black Adam and want to strike while he's still a hot commodity.

Shazam, not needed. Pretty sure even comic book fans don't buy Shazam. Was he even in the New DC 52?

Sandman if it separates itself from the DC Universe could be pretty awesome.

    Agreed, Ezee.

Also, if that list turns out to be true, this thread will probably need a name change

Question then: Are they going to give Aquaman powers? Or are they going to take the Nolan Universe approach and make him like Scarecrow, the Joker and Bane?

I want a Shazam movie more than I want a new Superman/Batman movie.
    Sure why not?

STAR WARS: THE LAST JEDI (Rian Johnson) - 9
STRONGER (David Gordon Green) - 6
THE DISASTER ARTIST (James Franco) - 7
THE FLORIDA PROJECT (Sean Baker) - 9
LADY BIRD (Greta Gerwig) - 8

I think he definitely has powers. The Nolan stuff is over - his influence in Man of Steel was cursory at best, and he has zero involvement in this film or the later ones to come.

Apparently Aquaman shows up in this one to say he's unhappy about the damage done to the Indian Ocean by the World Engine, and it sets him up for Justice League.

    Yes.

He's from Atlantis, which still thrives but is at the bottom of the ocean.
